Chapter 92 - CHAPTER 92

She still looked dazzling like she used to. carefree, straight forward and bright. Those days are yet to reoccur, his patience wasn't for nothing.

"Good evening, Your Majesty". Mira greeted, bowing her head silently in front of him to pay her respect.

" Evening. " He retorted, taking her hand and placing a kiss behind it. His lips lingered for a few seconds before detaching it from her hand. She watched in silence all the drama he was pulling. He loved her a lot, his actions spoke for him. It is true when they say actions speak better than words. That was bad news, cause sooner or later he would start making his moves on her. The green light he was displaying was enough sign to prove it. Even an illiterate who knows nothing would surely recognise this colour.

Her palm felt sweaty at the thought of Ramiel making a move on her or claiming her. Worse, marrying her over again since they are not yet a couple officially. He would surely want to do that! Her heart beat resounded in her ears, punching against her ribs to set itself free. She chewed her food slowly in a fancy manner, to cover her messy emotions - she was panicking. Her sweaty palm won't stop excreting.

"Are you okay?" Ramiel asked with concern.

"Hm?" She returned, glancing at him. She could see the concern and fear on his face. Her emotions immediately crumbled into empathy with a tinge of sadness. His worried expression pricked her heart - she was not sure exactly why she felt that way. She was getting soft nowadays.

"Yes. Why did you ask?" She returned, staring deeply into his eyes.

"No reason, I... Your heart beat raced, it was sounding unusual". He responded, averting his gaze from hers to face his food.

Her eyes dilated with little moisture settling in her eyes as a result of starting too hard into space. Her eyes followed his, she watched as he stabs the poor fruit over and over again. She almost forgot he had supernatural powers. Can he hear her thoughts? No that was not possible because if he had heard her thought he wouldn't be over reacting.

" Yeah" She replied awkwardly, eyeing his hand.

Mira's thought would not stop wondering back to his reaction. And Zamiel, How he was doing. Her thoughts soon reproduced fear in her. Fear of losing.... Zamiel, fear of.... She wasn't even sure what her other fear was. All she needed was a loved one to tell her problems to, to pour out her heart to. All she needed was.... Zamiel. She bit her lower lips, fighting the tears that was threatening to fall down her cheeks. She faced her plate, as if they were having a staring competition, an attempt to avoid Ramiel from seeing this side of her

"What's wrong?" He asked with care. His voice hitting her core. She missed her Zamiel, she missed him so much. She raised up her head, tucking her hair behind her ears.

"I don't have appetite for food." She replied with a sour looking smile. He forced a smile in return; she know he knows she was lying, though she might have said the truth about losing her appetite but they both know that was not what he meant.

"I think I wanna be in my room". She said, before excusing herself from the table. Her slippers snatching the attention in the room. He glanced at her retiring figure in silence. His stiff expression turned warm and sad as he stared at his beloved fragile figure exit the room.

The huge door slammed open with the amount of force Mira used, she was on the brink of collapsing in tears. She quickly slammed the door close, slumping on the bed to let herself go. Burying her face in the huge of pillow, she poured her heart out, tearing and wailing silently like a baby. She never imagined herself to be in this position. This was what it feels like to be broken, to get your heart shattered. Her greatest fear has finally come true, she tried her best to avoid it, to avoid falling in love and breaking into pieces.

She rolled, laying on her back and staring at the huge ceiling that was distance away from her. She can't deny the fact anymore, she can't, she loves Zamiel too much to let him go, letting go is just too much for her. He might have decieved her and use her but still it does not change the fact that she still loves him and he loves her. If she truly loved him she would find it in her heart to forgive him before it's too late. From day one she already forgave him, but her pride just refuses to accept the truth - she could not let go of him.

She need to find him, and leave this castle. She need to rescue him, if it's the last thing she does. She can't deny she felt for Ramiel, all he wanted was to get reunited with his lover, and be one with her. But she was sorry, she can not be his lover. True, he loves her a lot, his action spoke for him but that doesn't mean she would have to sacrifice hers so he can get his. She wiped her tears with her palm, sniffing in the mucus that was starting to settle in her nostrils.

Knock knock

Ramiel's knock echoed on the other side of the room, snapping Mira out of her slumber. He stepped in, saving her the strength to allow him in. She watched him lock the door behind him, walking towards her silently, her brown eyes watched his approaching figure. He had a huge book in his hands, as he approachedd her in his nightwear. She quickly sat up straight, leaning against the headboard.

" Are you feeling alright?" He asked in a whisper.

"Yes, I am. Thanks for asking " She returned with a tight smile.

"You should try to eat some more, or you might get sick." He said, placing the back of his palm on her fore head to feel her temperature. "You are not helping yourself by starving" He added, taking his seat on a chair. He must have clung on to it when he was approaching her. He settled down comfortably beside the bed.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, placing the huge ancient looking book on the bed.

"No, I'm not". She squeaked.

Gruuuuuuuhhhh

Silence engulfed the room, announcing its presence, snatching all the attention. She bit her lower lips out of embarrassment. He glanced at her tummy in awe, and then smirked. She shut her eyes for a few seconds, with his gesture. If she could blow up, she'd gladly do so.

" I...." She murmured, trying to defend herself but he beat her to it.

" Don't worry, I already asked the maids to prepare something. There will be here in a few minutes". His stoic expression helped her a lot. Or else, she might really die of embarrassment.

"Hm hm" She cleared her throat, her flurry cheeks dying down bit by bits. "What's with the book?" She asked, an attempt to divert the situation elsewhere.

"Oh this?, I brought it to read to you" He explained, with a smile.

"Read to me?" She echoed.

"Hm. It's an ancient story, a traditional one that has been passed from generation to generations." Her brows furowed as he explained.

"It's the story of our beloved goddess Amira" He added. Her heart skipped a beat with his last word, which he didn't fail to notice.

"She cleansed this land of all evil and bad omen, by sacrificing herself for the people of Drenil" He expantiate further, his blue eyes watching the curiosity in Mira's eyes.

The knock on the door drove his attention away from her face. Their head flew towards the door's direction. He volunteered, standing up from his seat to attend to who was on the other side of the door. He received the tray from the maids, preventing them from entering the room.

"Thank you. You may leave" She heard him say. She watched him closes the door approaching her bed with a tray. She knew the content the fancy plates held. It was not herbal mixture, that was for sure.

"Here, have something before you get sick for reals" He joked, placing the tray beside her.

"Thank you". She muttered, placing the huge tray on her lap. She could feel his eyes watching her as she dips the spoon in the food and in her mouth. She was hungry very hungry she finished the food in few minutes. What was she thinking to have starved her poor self. Her body trembled like jelly as she consumed the food. She quickly blocked her mouth with her hand before she disgrace herself again.

" Thank you" She said, thanking him once again, as he stop her from leaving the bed. He retrieved the tray from her, placing it on the little table that sat in the middle of room.

"The story, you wanted to read to me? " She said as soon as he placed his ass on his seat
