Chapter 70 - A DIFFERENT ZAMIEL

"You know, I still do not understand how we got married when I was asleep". She blurted. She really had to touch this topic or she'd be left in the dark forever. She kept on wondering how that happened? Was she hypnotized or was she sleep walking?.

"" You probably hit your head to not have remembered that day?". He replied bluntly with a smirk, obviously trying to dodge the conversation.

"Is that what got you upset?". He asked with a slightly raised brow, with an obvious mock in it ; glancing down at her. That gesture made her feel shorter, with the way he eyed her.

" Yes". Averting her gaze, she responded trying to avoid his gaze from jamming hers.

"You know you look...." He stopped midway in his sentence, staring behind her as if he just spotted something.

"What's that?". She asked with curiosity as she glanced up at his concentrated face. She turned around to check what got his attention since she got no reply from him. She was expecting a monster or somebody but instead all she saw was just the trees and vines hanging down the trees. She reversed her gaze back to where it was to scold him probably. But when she turned around to attend to the latter, he was nowhere around.

" Zamiel!" She called "Zamiel!" She repeated but she got no answers. She turned around to see if he were standing behind her but no he wasn't. "Was he playing a prank on her?". She had this thought within, starting to get upset with him. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard a bird screech. Only then did she know how scary the woods was. It looked creepy and it made her feel as if she were in a horror movie. The thought that was piling in her head had her heart beat increased. She could even hear her heart beat in her ear, it felt as if her heart was crawling its way out of her throat.

" Yes?". She heard the voice she was yearning to hear few minutes back. She turned around to meet him standing there tall and proud. She glared at him fiercely with what he just did to her - toying with her. She glared at him while they were both rooted where they stood. And he still has that nonchalant look on! She queried.

"We should head back". She suggested to hide away the upset in her. She would have walked out on him but she doesn't know which way to go, so she just walked with him.

She was silent through out their trip back to the camp. Grumbling within her she was dying to hear him speak so she can pour out all the anger within her. She could feel her breath get hotter by the minute she was sure she'd burst any moment from then. Thankfully they got to where the others were.

She quickly increased her pace as soon as she sighted the campfire leaving him to walk by himself.

She sighted Phillip cooking as usual and the group sitting round the fire. All she could feel at that moment was warmth.

" What the heck are you doing here?". Asked a smooth voice. The owner of the voice was none other than Ramon. He glanced up at his friend who sat down on a branch. He peered at his friend's figure from down below before taking a leap to land on the same branch his friend sat on.

He glanced at his friend before he occupied the space beside him.

Silence....

Ramon stared down at the earth that was quite farther than expected.

"So... what's the matter? Are you sad?".

Ramon asked staring ahead with a smirk on his face. He could feel his friend share him a deadly glare his smile grew wider with the result. He pivoted his head to meet with his friend's eye.

" Don't tell me you got your heart broken by the princess?". He added, with an obvious motive of pushing his buttons. But he knew it would take him more than that to push his friend's button.

" She likes to keep to herself and she really takes her privacy very serious. I mean for the past three days now she's been missing going Into the Woods to find one- that's how much she loves her

privacy. You need to respect that".

"I'm sorry". He added due to the bad glare he received from his companion.

" Don't tell me that's what had you so gloomy". He teased with a smirk dancing on his smooth face but the smirk soon died down. He reversed his attention away from his friend to present it to the new presence that was amongst them.

"What is it?". He asked staring down from the tree to have a better view of the man who intruded in their conversation.

" We can't find her". Said the burly man who emitted the aura of a strong knight.

Ramon's brow knitted at this reply. He stood on his feet at once with the news that he received, he glanced at his side to see his friend also on his feet.

"Leave it to us". He turned to the man down below. He turned back to his friend who was not where he was any more. Ramon stared at the space his friend occupied not long ago.

Sigh!

He heaved a sigh not out of relief before he went after his friend. The space which was occupied by the two friends now remain bare with nobody to occupy it.

**"*****

Why have you a frown on? ". Zamiel asked sensing her silence to be quite unusual. He still maintained his gaze, staring ahead surely waiting for her response.

" I'm not upset ". She reasoned obviously displaying the opposite of her her response.

" Don't remember saying you were". Zamiel replied with a smirk on his face and his gaze still staring ahead.

"I never said you did". She replied elegantly, increasing her pace on purpose.

"So you are upset? ".

" No, I'm not" She returned in a tone that contradicted her reply.

"If you are not, then why walk ahead of me?. Are you afraid of falling for this perfect face of mine. I have to say, you are quite impatient than I thought". His voice echoing behind her ear, completely aware of his motive on provoking her. She bit her under-lip trying to hold her tongue. She bit her lip harder as the image of Zamiel smirking flashed in her head.

When did he turn like this?. The Zamiel she knew was a no nonsense one. Maybe he got infected by Ramon's perverted attitude?. " Oh God!" She exclaimed, holding on to her chest to steady her heart beat. She flashed him the most hurtful glare she could come up with.

"What was that for?. Appearing in front of me isn't so charming".

" I don't think I'm enthusiastic about the stroll anymore". She added to her statement.

"Sure " He responded with no objection to her suggestion. She eyed him with suspicion before turning around to head back to the camp.

She sighted the rest of the group - all ready to spend the night. She averted her gaze before she sinks any further into her reverie. She can't believe that Zamiel left her halfway through their trip here.

I can't find her." The man in black said staring into space.

"I perceived her smell a while ago, and it was quite close."

"Let's go back. I'm sure she's back at the camp." The latter suggested, vanishing into thin air, leaving his companion all by himself.

"Is she back?". He asked as soon as he got to the camp.

" Yes". Replied Phillip not revealing too much than he was asked. He knew the type of person he was dealing with - a man with few words. He resumed with what he was doing as soon as his master left.

The next morning....

"Where were you last night?". That was the first thing he said to her as soon as they jammed each other.

" In the woods?" She replied with a slightly raised brow before walking towards the horse to mount it. When she got to the horse. She had to wait when she got to the horse so she could get help mounting the horse.

"You know I'm looking forward to getting to our destination, every journey is so tiring". She craned her neck to steal a glance of Zamiel's face who is now seated behind her. "I can't wait!". She said sounding excited but she quickly sealed it in order not to sound overexcited. " You don't mind sharing your experience before now?. Hmm?". She asked examining the reins in her hands, a smile dancing on her face.

"My experience?". He repeated his chest vibrating with those two words he spoke.

" hmm, your experience as a prince. More like your story". She said turning around slightly to catch a glimpse of his expression. "You don't mind telling her Highness do you?". She asked with a tease. " I'll take that as a yes then". She quickly added to evade his declination, switching back to her former posture she resumed fiddling with the reins.

"I'm waiting "

"Hm hm". She listened to him clear his throat from behind. Cute she thought, smiling widely. She adjusted herself to get settled for the story he was about to tell.

" It's not very fun and interesting to the ears of a lady like you". She heard him say which in turn had her brows knot themselves.

"Lady?. But this lady don't mind at all listening to a non interesting story ". She insisted with a firm tone which wasn't expected of from her.

" Well, I am pretty paranoid ever since I was little, so I liked to maintain my spaces with people".

"Why?". She interrogated her voice painted with interest as she gripped the reins tight to brace herself for what next to come."

" Just instincts". He reasoned as
