Chapter 73 - UNTITLED CHAPTER

She was sure she slept in a carriage and in a woods. This room was too good and perfect to be in the woods. Or perhaps they already got to their destination already? Why didn't they wake her up?. Where is Zamiel then?. Is this the palace that took weeks to get to?. Question after question kept piling up in her head as she sat there at the edge -her legs making its way out of the bed already.

She finally stood up from her sitting posture, heading towards the door, this time not giving an extra attention to the room decor or how it was furnished. The floor felt cold and....soft?, strange.

She spared the floor a glance, and saw it looked normal like it should. She stepped on the floor as if she were walking on broken bottle or she stepped in poop.

She headed towards the huge door endowed with gold. "Wow" She thought. She didn't stay in the palace long to be used to sights like this. Except those times she goes on a trip in her dreams.

Wait!, was she in her dream? Again?

She turned the door knob to get to the other side of the room. She found herself in a corridor, a corridor too wide, large and narrow to be a corridor. It had golden designs and a beautiful candle stand burning. There was a statue of an angel surrounded with baby angels. The wings looked so real and the angels; the sculptor must have done a hell of a job to have sculpted that - the best part, it was made of gold. Are these things sculpted out of real gold or it was just covered in gold. She stared long at the statue that gave off an ethereal feeling.

She started towards her North, heading

for God knows where to figure out where she was. She can't believe they were here already. Was she out for that long? She thought. Where exactly she was going she knows not, which part of the castle she was -she's unaware of.

She took her steps lightly so as not to trip. She made her way through the corridor whilst taking notes of the decors and furnishings, and it reeks of royalty.

The corridor was narrower than she thought it would be. "Hello!". She found herself calling out as she made her way through the corridor. holding the hem of

her gown she started towards a corner a bit darker than the lighted corridor where she stood. Starting towards the corner she had her upper body bent forward like a kid playing hide and seek seeking his other friends.

She made her way to the corner to find a stairs - a stairs not made of gold but instead bricks. Strange she thought with a knitted brows, standing still on the stair case contemplating whether or not to commence venturing or she should just make her way back to her room where the others knows where she was. What if.....what if they were already in her room looking for her. She thought tilting her head to take a look at the stairs where she came from. Maybe she should just go back, the last thing she wants right now is trouble she thought turning around to make her way back to her room where she was supposed to be right now. She took her steps lightly so as not to slip. She hasn't taken up to three steps when she was starting to have a second thought on her returning to her room.

*************

" Ha". The voice resounding from the dark stairs behind her making her put a halt to her strides. Seriously?. She grunted within her shutting her eyes to resist the urge to turn around and trace the voice.

"Please I'm sorry. I won't do it again". The voice of a child sounded through the dark corridor, arousing a wrinkle on Mira's face. What the hell is happening thought Mira whilst turning her legs around to check out what was going on.

"Please Sir" repeated the voice once more in a frightening tone. She accelerated her strides like a frightful mother running out to check up on her weeping son. Tracing the source of voice she held the hem of her gown to prevent it from catching dirt. As she went deeper so did it get darker, having just few torches to keep her sight in check.

"What the hell is a child doing in a place like this?". She asked with a raised brow still tracing the cute voice.

Hey! A voice rang making everyone stand in full stop.

*********

It was just so sad -the sight of a child being tied by the hands dragged into a cell. A cell way too dark to have a child kept in. And the child which turned out to be a boy looked frightened as hell. His face soaked with his own tears, his face was sweaty obviously out of all the tears he cried which fell on deaf ears.

" Hey!". Another voice called. the voice sounded matured and stronger than the boy child who was bounded by the hands. The voice had this hint of boldness and heroism in it. Though it sounded more like a child's than an adult's but still the vigor could be sensed.

The mean looking guards all stopped with their activity - pulling the kid like a goat into the cell. They had armours endowed with golden colour on them. They looked clean and stealthy in the suit. They turned towards her, staring coldly at her where she stood. The glare she received gave her cold feet, making her turn immobile.

"I command you release him right now". Said a little girl in white gown. She stared at the little girl walk passed her. The girl had a white hair and a golden iris coupled with her fierce look. She looked ethereal with her look plus her white gown sweeping the dirty ground.

" Do you have difficulty hearing?" asked the little girl, stopping right in front of the knights. "Release him" commanded the girl in a fierce tone, her expression turning harsh by the seconds. Seeing the knight made no move she clenched her fist out of anger.

"Hey" called Mira with a clenched fist "Didn't you hear....." She had stop the rest of her words from flowing free from her lips with what went before her.

***************************************

"Your highness" responded one of the guards with respect. "I apologise for my disrespect towards her highness but we can't do that." Said the knight whilst bowing slightly in front of her.

"Is that so" replied the girl, with a mocking smile on her smooth face.

"Yes Your Majesty". Replied the guard still bowing right in front of her.

" I'll tell you this once more". She said with a cold tone staring hard at the figure in front of her. "Let the kid go. And I won't be upset at you for defying me". she said with an authoritative tone

Silence

" I see". She spoke calmly this time but her gaze never changed neither did it leave the guard who refuse to leave his bowing position. "Don't blame me for what I do". Said the girl, taking in a deep breath she raised her shoulder a bit. Her arms stretched on either side of her body, her fingers stretching themselves giving each other space.

Mira stared at the little girl take the reins like an adult, looking furious and strict like a soldier. Her eyes dilated themselves when she saw the guards who were ready to go against her orders few seconds ago floating in the air groaning with outstretched limbs .

" I warned you didn't I". Said the girl with a stern voice before slamming both knight against the wall.

"Are you okay?". The girl asked, turning towards the boy who seems a bit younger than she was. Mira watched silently as the girl worked wonders handling the situation so well like a pro. Guess she wasn't needed here then. What else exist here in this world, Goblins?. Mira thought with an unsettled expression, staring at the girl speak with the timid looking boy. What is this boy?. She thought as she gaped at the boy's horns and the patches of scalelike wood he had on his

face and his neck. And the girl....why does she look so familiar? She gawked at the girl's white hair glowing from where she stood.

" Let's leave here" she heard the girl said, snapping her out of her thoughts. She already helped the boy out of the rope that had him bounded. And now they both walk hand in hand like couples towards Mira. One having a timid and weak attitude and the other having a stern and heroic aura dancing around her. She watched them starting towards her.

She stood there, thinking they'd just brush past her but instead they walked through her. Wait!, what just happened? She thought, holding on to her chest as if preventing it from falling off like a cake too tall to be standing.
