An appetite that has no rival. Every time a demon beast got defeated, the two dragons, Red and Blue, would move in and eat the corpse. They were quite the picky eaters too. They would eat anything without hair on it.
It's the third day of Rowan's dungeon adventure and they were sweeping through the sixth dungeon. Still the corpses were littered with nothing but orange crystals. Jayden didn't even want to put orange crystals in his space bag anymore.
They eventually found the stairs to the seventh floor when they got hit with a heatwave. They took a step into a desert. Jayden walked straight following the compass but her feet kept getting sucked into the sand.
Rowan controlled the chakra in his body to create a chakra layer on the soles of his shoes. At least he couldn't sink into the sand but that did not stop the heat from roasting him. Like that they continued to walk through the desert.
Suddenly, the ground moved around them and five giant ants appeared. The ants looked at the human's in front of them before spitting out a red liquid. Rowan rolled out of the way before hearing a scorching sound.
The liquid was melting the sand that he was standing on. Another scorching sound came from the side and Rowan saw Jayden barely sidestepping the liquid before falling over. He placed his hands together and created five shadowclones.
The clones each threw an air palm at an ant to get their attention. Rowan went to Jayden's side and picked him up. The armour was so hot that it left burn marks on his body but he had to get Jayden out of there. He body flickered away from the battle and looked for a place with shade.
He finally managed to find a giant rock that produced a huge shadow for them to take shelter at. Since only Jayden could open her space bag, he didn't have any water or medicine to give her. He made ten more shadowclones to go search for water.
He waited for thirty minutes before a clone sent him coordinates to an oasis. Rowan picked up Jayden on his back. "Please help me…Rowan," her voice was slowly fading. He poured all the chakra he had left in his body to flicker in the direction the clone showed him.
Rowan finally got to the oasis and he was excited by what he saw. There was a beautiful pool with lots of bushes. He placed Jayden underneath one of the bushes before running to the pool to get some water. He reached the edge of the pool and made a bucket with his hands.
He placed his hands in the cold water but before he could do anything, his body was smashed away by a tail that emerged from the ground. Rowan's vision was blurry as he tried to get up. He had no chakra left and he was tired which left him at a huge disadvantage.
The tail emerged from the water again, smashing Rowan away. He got up again and steadied himself. He could more or less make out the pool now but the tail was really fast and he didn't know how he was going to deal with that without the sharingan and chakra.
Rowan looked over at where Jayden was laying but that was a mistake because the tail shot out of the water again and smashed into Rowan's chest. He got up again and swallowed down the blood that was stuck in his throat.
He tried thinking of a plan as he held the Kusanagi Sword in front of him. Looking at the sword, a plan began formulating in his head. He took out a stack of paper bombs before attaching them to his sword. He rushed to the pool and hoped that the tail would attack him.
As if called, the tail appeared and flew towards Rowan. Rowan used every inch of power left in his body to sidestep the tail before attaching some paper bombs on it. The explosion that followed caused the upper body of a water serpent to appear from the pool.
This was the opportunity Rowan was waiting for as he threw the Kusanagi Sword at the serpent's head. The sword easily pierced the head of the serpent and the paper bombs started glowing. Nothing was left of the serpent's head after the bombs exploded.
The two baby dragons, Red and Blue, unfurled from Rowan's waist and shot towards the body of the water serpent and began eating. Rowan ignored them and collected water in his hands to quench Jayden's thirst.
He walked back to where Jayden was and opened the helmet. 'He looks more like a girl than a boy. That's probably why he doesn't want to take off the suit of armour,' Rowan thought before pouring the water in her mouth.
Rowan tore a piece of cloth from his shirt before dipping it in the water and placing it on Jayden's head. With that out of the way, he looked for his sword and found it next to an orange crystal. Rowan almost blew it when he looked at the orange crystal.
Rowan drank some refreshing water before deciding to take a quick splash. The cool water felt nice on Rowan's naked body. After a couple of minutes, he finally got out and put on his pants. He laid down next to Jayden.
"You really look like a girl, do you know that," Rowan said to the sleeping Jayden. "It must suck to have a face as beautiful as yours and not as handsome as mine, hahahaha," Rowan burst out laughing after touching his face.
After he stopped laughing and looked at Jayden's face again. He closed the helmet and sighed. After a while, a soft snoring noise was heard. After Rowan fell asleep, Jayden got up and took off her helmet revealing a blood red face.
Not sure whether she was blushing or angry but she glared at Rowan before spitting out one sentence. "You really are an idiot."
