"Wake up, Freak!" A voice growled, roughly shaking Fenris awake
Fenris cracked his eyes open to see the annoyed face of Julian, he gave the black-haired boy a weak glare and closed his eyes once more. Julian seemed to not get the message because he continued to shake him harder this time. Fenris was quickly losing his patents, he shot up from the floor with an annoyed look.
"What do you want?!" He growled out angrily
Julian looked caught off guard, he growled like an animal. He shook it off maybe it was just his imagination, anyway he answered Fenris's question.
"Your first day of school" Julian states bored "hurry, up or you'll miss breakfast"
Since his job was done, Julian quickly walked out of the bedroom so he wouldn't miss breakfast himself. Fenris slowly mustered up the strength to stand up, he stumbled to his clothes chest. He grabbed his uniform and sleepily walked to the bathroom, only to find a line with other kids who woke up late.
"Really?!" He growled out of frustration as he stood in line
It seemed like hours before finally his chance to use the bathroom had arrived but it wasn't that easy.
"The school bus is here!" Ms.Molly announced
All you could hear was a stampede of footsteps running to the door, Fenris's eyes widen. He rushed into the bathroom not having enough time to take a shower not even a quick one he had to settle with washing up in the sink after he quickly throws on his clothes and speeded to the door only to see the bus already down the street.
Everyone was gone except the kids that weren't old enough to go to school, Fenris sighed. He fixed his shoes which his foot heal was hanging off of, he brushed his shaggy hair back with his hands. He hung his head down in defeat, some first day this was. Since he was going to be late anyway he went back into the bathroom to properly prepared himself for school.
He brushed his hair, and teeth and fixed his clothes neatly. He walked to the exit of the orphanage, the sun seems to dim at the sight of the deflated Fenris. His head perked up when another kid ran past him wearing the same uniform, Fenris took this as a sign of good luck and ran after the kid. Assuming she was going in the direction of his school, the young girl seemed to not notice him yet and was too focused on getting to her destination.
"20mins late...totally....to..me" she mumbles under her breath as she ran
"Hey!" He shouted running behind her quickly falling in stride with her
Her head shot in his direction, she squeaked in surprise and abruptly stopped. Tripping over her own feet in the process, Fenris's eyes widened and quickly helped her up.
"Sorry, to scare you but are you on your way to Woodley Junor High?" He asked in a hurry once she got to her feet
"Yeah, we better hurry," she said urgently as she blasted off in the direction of Woodley
Fenris was quick to follow behind her, the journey was fairly quick since they were running at top speed. Both students arrived at the main entrance breathless, they were bent over panting; Fenris recovered faster than the girl and jogged up the stairs and opened the door.
"You're coming or what?" he asked the tired girl
She looked at him dumbfounded "how can you recover so fast after a non-stop run all the way here?" she asked baffled as she slowly walks up the stairs
"I run like that all the time, I'm kinda used to it" he replied sheepishly
"Well then, I suggest you join track they'll sure need a kid like you on the team"
The halls were nearly empty when the two entered the building, they walked side by side down the hall.
"where exactly are we going?" Fenris inquired after a few minutes of silents
"To the office to get a late slip plus since you knew you'll have to see the principal any way" she answered then started to walk faster and quickly turned the corner
"what's the rush?" he asked not having a problem catching up with the human girl but was still caught off guard by her sudden speed increase
''well, since we are late, i better not waste much time" she shrugged ''you'll be excused because you're the ''new kid'' me on the other hand would have a reserved seat in detention''
Fenris nods sheepishly and follows the still nameless girl, he seems to realize that and stops right before entering the office. The girl quickly noticed he stopped and paused aswhile, she looked at him with a raised eyebrow waiting for him to say why he stopped.
"I never got your name" he inquired with a friendly smile he held out his hand to shake " i'm Fenris"
"Heaven grant, nice to be of assistance" she accepted his handshake "now, come on we're already late.
They both quickly entered...
