Deep followed the unknown man, who kept walking with long strides, almost making him jog a bit to catch up his pace!
He didn't care anymore of whom was he bumping into or being pushed by, all his focus was the man!
As he kept following, suddenly, the man was no were to be seen, Deep had come out of the crowd almost, with the visible empty streets ahead, and he was lost, his gaze wavering, searching for someone specific when he felt a sudden grasp of a hand around his wrist, and before even he could think, he was harshly pulled into one of the streets with eerie silence.
Deep let his hand free, pushing off the man's hand harshly, while his gaze wandered, searching for anything he thought of as a danger, his soul still on alert!
Once he knew there was none, his gaze settled right over the man standing infront, who seemed patiently waiting for him to clarify his whatever assumptions he had.
"Who are you?" Deep questioned, his voice coming from the depths of his infuriated soul!
"Do not bother with introductions Mr.Nethin! I bet you wouldn't be benefitted by my introduction!!" the man casually denied.
Deep sighed hard looking away briefly before he went ahead, holding the man's collar, "Enough of playing with my patience! I demand to know, who are you? Why are you doing this to us?"
"I need answers!!" Deep's voice raised as he couldn't tolerate the silent him anymore!
The man just rolled his eyes, "You are messing up with the wrong person!" and just with that, he pushed him away, dusting his shirt!
Deep just stared the man in annoyance, watching his every moment as the man slided his hand into his pocket effortlessly, only to take his mobile out!
"He's here!" the man spoke with the person whom he called, before his hand swiftly was lent out, with a brow raised!
Deep exchanged a suspicious glance with him before taking a deep breath, he accepted it!
This time as well, he didn't speak, and just waited for the man to speak.
"I know a lot is going through your young brain, man!" the man started to speak, the one Deep recognised, the one who spoke with him the entire time!
"Just who are you?!" Deep with a sigh asked.
"Wrong one! You better ask what I know, and what I want!!'
Deep remained silent.
"I don't like the way to beat around the bush, young man! Let me be straight, there's a secret you would like to, need to, know!"
"Would you believe if I say it out?"
"What secret are you speaking of?!" Deep almost said in a tone as if there was no secret he need to be feared of!
"I am a man of my words, I said you, it's related to Tara!"
Deep's jaw clenched, unknown of what was he yet to know now!
"Her parents, they are alive, locked up, under my mercy!!"
His eyes widened in shock, of all things he expected, it was about his aunt and uncle?
A chuckle of disbelief escaped him, "Watch your mouth!"
"You still perceive me untrustable?"
Deep held his chuckle, trustable?!
"Check the video!!"
Deep frowned as his mobile vibrated.
His frown even more deepened when he saw what was the video! Tara's parents?
They were alive, all this time?
And they didn't even know!
No, that couldn't be!
"Whoever you are, you might be very good at quipping!!" Deep snorted.
"I might as well be young man, but this isn't a quip!"
Deep's face hardened, an emptiness combined with sorrow pulling him in! The sweet memories he had with his uncle and aunt embracing him! The day he saw his sister shattering, breaking down! The very day he saw his own father depressed for the first time, his eyes which held back the painful tears!
And after twelve years, someone appears out of blue, declaring them to be alive!
Deep felt loss at words and actions. He took minutes of silence to digest the fact, and the man didn't speak as well as if providing him the needed.
Deep grasped the energy from the spirits he needed the most now with a heavy breath, his voice barely above a whisper, "What do you want me to do?"
The only rational question he could come up with was that, why would he even let him know the truth if otherwise?!
He could hear the man chuckle, "Finally a good one, little brain!!"
"I want you to keep an eye on Tara, and you would be doing everything under my guidance from now on!!"
It took a second for Deep to respond which he began with a chuckle of disbelief, "You want me to spy my own sister?!" he asked as if it almost was a joke he was reacting to.
"Under your guidance? You don't think me of a puppet, do you?!" a chuckle escaped him again!
"Relax! It might be too much for your pride, for I understand! You have time to give in until I call you back! Do not forget, they are under MY MERCY!!"
"Whoever you are, you are choosing a very wrong path to walk in!!" Deep snorted!
"Mr.Nerhin, it's either her parent's life or hers! She might not always be lucky to skip her death!!"
His eyes almost bulged out, what ....did he say?
"What do you...mean by that?!"
"Oh, you don't know? Your sister was poisoned! She would have been died, however .....she was lucky enough to have that man beside who saved her!!"
Deep's heart shattered for a moment! Was that why his father made a sudden visit?!
World seemed to fall apart with just that one fact, and he remained silent!
Unable for any responses!
"What ... exactly do you wish to achieve?!"
"You are still far away from acknowledging it, little boy!" the man said effortlessly which made Deep feel defeated!
"All I need you to remember is one, you would lose either way by losing your beloved, unless and until you decide to co-operate!!"
Deep couldn't believe the man just had ended the call with that, making him stand in that eerie silence!
He was pulled back into the present environment only when the man who stood infront had grabbed his phone out of his hold! Making him look up!
The man just exchanged an unknown look with him! Which was difficult for him to define!
"You know who it is, don't you?" Deep questioned, taking a step forward!
"If you expect me to be honest.....I have no other option than the acceptance!!" the man simply replied!
Deep took another step ahead while the man remained unfazed, "Who is it? I'll give you a chance to lead a better life, with all the luxuries a human would need and want! Just tell me who it is!!"
The man chuckled, luxury? "For some, I already am leading a better life!" he snorted with a hidden emotion, which again Deep couldn't understand.
Deep just looked the man, provoked by his behaviour while the fact that his sister was poisoned stabbed the inner him to the depths! He found himself holding the man's collar again, crossing the distance! "And you think I would let you go? Leave you? That easily!"
The man for a moment, looked into his eyes amused, wondering! Before he sighed, holding his wrist with a tight grip, pushing him off while his hand was still in hold, he turned his hand, which made him hiss in pain.
Deep in pain, tilted his head slightly to look back at the man, who was putting pressure on his hand!
"I mentioned you ahead, you are messing with the wrong person!" he snorted!
Putting more pressure on the hold, again making Deep hiss in pain, "Do not force me to do things which I haven't planned for!!" the man warned before pushing him away!
Deep shake his hand in the air, relieving himself from the pain he recieved!
As he turned to look at him, he watched the man shaking his head at him, wanting to leave, Deep chuckled with one last hard wave of his hand, "Better life?"
The man halted.
"With that thing on?" Deep pointed his mask!
"Oh, I forgot! How could you roam around in freedom with the illegal doings of yours!!" Deep chuckled again!
He turned back, sparing a glance at him which Deep reacted with a raised brow!
"You have a trait of provoking man! And you think me to react, don't you?!" he chuckled.
Deep snorted looking away, knowing the man would never open up, almost feeling foolish for a second to suggest him of opening up!
The man stepped ahead, "Too bad to not to fulfil your mere wish!" taking off his mask and cap, swiftly sliding them into his pocket, "Now, here you go!"
Deep looked at him wondered, almost surprised by the act! He didn't expect him to really show himself out, and while he already did now, he found himself taking a brief look of the man's face!
His silky medium brown hair slightly swayed to the gentle breeze, his teal eyes shining, with the shimmering light of evening sun on his blue-green shade!
For an odd reason, Deep felt the chilling sensation passing down his spine, which he couldn't understand why!
"You know how I look now, what can you do?!" he snorted again.
"Can you save her?!" the man challenged, almost wondering Deep, before shaking his head with a subtle smile, he crossed him, his hands swiftly reaching for the spectacles attached to his shirt.
Wearing them, he just left the place, his fingers stroking his silky hair which had easily let them make way through, leaving the lost Deep behind!
Deep stood there in silence for a moment, as if processing his thoughts, everything beginning to flash back in his head! Unable to digest his own emotions, he gathered himself to move, leaving the place!
Aarohi who hid behind a wall, witnessing everything that happened till now, leaned against the wall defeated as Deep just left! Unknown what to do, and how to react!
