Tara felt devastated as she left the hospital! Thinking of two life's that were long gone now, only if she had....
What on the earth had she do to suffer this fate??
Burying herself in that emptiness within, she kept walking in the darkness of night, letting the cool breeze embrace her! She felt cold, dizzy, yet she didn't care!
And suddenly she found herself outside a place which was open, as if welcoming everyone who wished to be welcomed! The place emitting red lights from inside! It was late night, all shops and stores were closed, except...this one?! When she raised her head slightly to read the headboard, she couldn't understand what it actually meant! 'Know your destiny!'
What type of a trash was that?!!
Well if it wasn't for her life's circumstances, she might actually joke around that statement! As when she saw the images of some cards on both the sides of the statement, that's when she understood that this was a place where tarot reading happens!
Divination?!
She chuckled, who believes in all these things now a days?
Tara turned away to leave, however her steps halted! It might be one's foolishness to believe in such things! But.....what's wrong with being a fool? Not like she cared! Why not..... give it a try?!
She turned back, making her way inside.
The place almost made her feel like she was entering into some halloween world! Oh, she might have not been here if her curiosity had not got the best of her!
While she moved further in, she witnessed some thick, long, plastic sheets hanging! Halloween?! No, this might also be considered as a crime scene!!
"Seems like we have a customer!!" a feminine voice startled her instead of welcoming, she looked unbothered by that sudden voice which was also soothing to the level where it can be a lullaby, though she actually was startled!!
"Do not hesitate! Come in!!" the voice added.
She did hesitate, but....with a sigh, moving aside those thick sheets, Tara entered in!
As she entered, she saw a table up to thighs, few candles lit, and a feminine structure seated across the table, with eyes closed!
'How did she sense my presence with her eyes closed?' Tara wondered.
"Spirits welcome you my child!!" said the woman with a smile, opening her eyes!
And as she did, she took a deep breath, as if taking in something mysterious, "You have such a strong energy vibrations!"
Tara frowned! The lady motioned her hand indicating her to take a seat, and so she did!
Tara's gaze immediately tracing her physical features. With brown curly hair, blue menacing eyes, the lady looked stunning. Her long rich green garment perfectly suiting her pale skin.
And those weird tattoos over her neck and hands, wondered her.
"What does that mean?" Tara expressed her question.
The lady smiled, "I just stated the fact! I am picking up a lot of energy from your aura!"
Rather than her words, her smile was attention seeking! That smile made Tara feel unbothered yet bothered at the same time!
"Don't you wanna know why am I here?"
Her smile widening, "That's a lame one my dear! Why else would you be here rather than for a reading?!"
What was she even asking?! Tara just gave her a nod!
"But.... let me tell you!!" the lady looked into her eyes straight, "Spirits say that you are god gifted!!" her voice hypnotic!
Tara frowned again, god gifted?! Then why wasn't that gift helping her?!
"Can I take a reading?" Tara ignorant to her statements, questioned!
The lady smiled again! "Of course!!", she then took out a deck of cards, and started shuffling it!
Her way of effortless shuffling expressed her experience, while her gaze never left Tara's!!
Tara felt as though the lady was capable of reading her soul, for her gaze felt piercing.
The lady soon placed all those cards on the table, spreading it in a curve! "Pick three dear!!"
Tara with a nod, looked at those cards, feeling confused on whether what to pick!
"Choose those which attracts you the most!!" she again said it out with her hypnotic voice!
Tara just kept looking at her for a while before returning her gaze towards the cards, her hand somehow hesitated. Tara took a deep breath closing her eyes, and when she opened her eyes, she took enough time to observe all those cards, and finally she pulled down three!
"Here, I picked!!"
The lady smiled, "By the way how you took time to pick the cards, I can only say that you are picky my dear!!"
Tara just sighed inward, the lady was.... right!!
Without waiting for her reply, the lady took the cards she pulled down and turned them to take a look, and when she did, she was amused!!
"You really did a rare pick!!"
She placed those three cards on the table, not in reverse now, letting her see it clearly! "Never had I seen someone picking the Sun, Moon, and the High Priestess cards at once!!"
Tara frowned again, "And what does that mean?"
The lady provided a gentle smile! "This represents both good and bad my dear! Look," she slides one card towards her, "the Sun card always states the love, blossom, new beginnings, happy endings, positivity, success, and everything lovely! And likely goes with the High Priestess, but" picking another card up, showing to her, "the Moon card is the opposite!"
"It highlights the concealment of truths, illusions, fear, delusion! It often means what appears to be is not what exactly how it appears to be!!"
Tara's frown deepened, "Then what does it mean to pick them all in a combination?"
"Toxic Positivity!"
Her brows raised, "What's.... that?"
"When someone is grieving, disappointed, anxious, or down, toxic positivity throws out statements promoting positivity."
Tara didn't get it....yet!
"Positive encouragement is not harmful, and there is nothing wrong with seeking it to boost someone's spirits. However, that's a problem when you try to dismiss your feelings of sadness or despair with platitudes about being positive. This is what toxic positivity is all about, and it can be pretty damaging."
Tara just looked unknown of what the lady was saying, but the lady continued, even though she was saying things that she couldn't understand, she made it sound slow as if trying to explain her in a clear manner!
"This statement invalidates the difficult feelings and struggles that someone experiences regardless of the circumstances. No matter what you face, you need to think positively and ditch negative thinking, which causes so much damage because you need to feel and express your emotions. Suppressing negative feelings will only lead to further damage in the long run."
'Ditch negative thinking?!'
'Think positive?'
'Expressing emotions?!'
Though her statements affected her somehow, she kept quiet, waiting for her to say more!
"You know why I phrase it a toxic positivity, my dear? Why the Sun and Moon combination represents toxic positivity is the purpose of hiding and masking your negative feelings. The Moon represents anything hidden, and the Sun represents anything above what the Moon hides."
Tara sighed, the lady phrased her words very beautifully, so much that, she couldn't understand them at all! "What exactly does this all mean? Can you phrase it in simple please?!" she almost yelled!
Tara for a moment regretted her decision of ending up here! She knew, this people always spoke in riddles which was bothering her enough now! Yet she could sense, the lady was trying to disclose her things in a specific way!
The lady smiled! "Do you know what spirits want to say you?"
"What?"
"All things happen for a reason!!"
Tara pondered over it, was she saying about her secret!
"Some secrets are meant to be secrets only until you find the one worth sharing it with!!"
Tara stiffened, how could she....? "What did you say?"
She smiled, "I don't know, I just said you what spirits said me to say you!" she smiled again, "You might really have a secret!!"
Tara swallowed, she did have one, which still.... suffered her!!
