Chapter 63 - A New Place

"But you won't stay here anymore!", Prisca said still sobbing, " then you can visit anytime you want!", Audrey said lifting Prisca's mood.

"And then I can cook for you!", " yes you can cook for me!", Audrey confirmed as they continued to pack the things in Audrey's room. She stocked her clothes in several boxes, her shoes and some other things, and of course her favorite lamp.

The room looked like how she met it when they had finished packing, clean and empty, rid of any of her personal belongings.

The cab they had called a few minutes before honked when he got to the front of Prisca's place. Lizzy who was busy in the kitchen as she was preparing the meal her husband was going to eat at the hospital later saw Audrey and Prisca bringing out Audrey's belongings, headed towards the cab outside.

"Thank you for everything Lizzy!", Audrey said wrapping Prisca's mother in a hug. " I'm so sorry that things had to be this way!", Lizzy said in the hug. "It's okay Lizzy, I'll visit when I can!", " you better!", Lizzy said before the cab driver's blaring horn was heard again.

"I'll be back later mom!", Prisca said to her mother as she really wanted to help Audrey settle into her new apartment. Audrey put the biggest box which contained most of her clothes in the trunk, and somehow the girls were able to fit the remaining suitcase and boxes in the car.

The ladies stuffed Audrey's things inside the elevator at once, it was no surprise the elevator was that big, the number of residents in the building warranted the size of the elevator.

They got to Audrey's new apartment, opening the door with the keys they had gotten from the caretaker. The girls took Audrey's things, settling the lamps and shoes in Audrey's new bedroom.

Her closet was big enough to contain all her clothes, so she was able to arrange properly. They had swept and cleaned the place before, so all they had to do was settle in.

They got settled in no time, using the only available pot to cook something for themselves. Audrey wasnt even sure if she should stock the kitchen because she was working late or she went on a date with Lucas.

They bid themselves farewell before Prisca left trying so hard to hold back her tears, leaving Audrey in the apartment alone to finally comprehend that she had officially moved out of Lizzy's place.

She sat in the couch, reflecting on her life so far, it was the best way she could think of to organize her life. " So, I officially have no parents and I'm staying on my own, I have a job, and I have my own place, I even have a boyfriend !", Audrey said blushing.

'I'm going to make the best of my life, and God help me, I'm not going to make any bad decisions!', she thought going back to her room to freshen up, she was going to visit her parents.

Audrey had never stayed on her own in a new place, it was either she had trusted people to stay around or she lived somewhere familiar. She hoped for the best as she settled into her apartment, it was no coincidence, she was starting another chapter of her life.

She was going to embrace it either way, but she was nervous, Audrey just knew she had to channel that energy, the nervous wreck that she was into a tranquil energy.

It was late in the afternoon, so Audrey didn't wear anything too much because the sun was hot, she took a coat however, just in case the weather got cold.

She took a cab to the cemetery, exchanging pleasantries with the guard that had been there since he parents died. She headed to her father's grave first, telling him about the development of her life as she removed the weeds around his grave.

The turmoil in her being however was calmed even more, to the lowest minimum when she spoke about the development of her life to her mother's grave. The tranquil energy that she seemed even before going there was achieved after taking the weight off her heart.

She left the cemetery at sundown, a call interrupting her thoughts on her way home
