Chapter 2 - 14 hours earlier

Just when the sun, was already blazing at the white tiles in Autumn's room. Autumn was already up and refreshed to go. She takes a quick glimpse at the window, as the silhouettes grey curtuins captures the orb of the sunlight, reflecting bright to the floor. She intently gazed at herself, at the 5 foot tall mirror that was positioned in the middle of her room. It was beautifully set to pin against her white, gigantic wall with high sealings. You can swear the size of it was a museum that costed a fortune to build, but it was only the bedroom of the Zulu princess.

"Up?!" Her middle age mother, throbbed a slight knock onto her door and she briefly responded as always, "Ready!"

Oh Autumn was one of the few that keeps the time and mostly she was always earliest. She bowed down, as her big curvy butt, pointed out even bigger. Lifting her right foot to place onto her metal pink stool, to master the location of her long, blue socks to tightly hug next to her knees. She keeps stretching them as the elastic of the socks continuously slaps her skin. She wanted them to be perfectly positioned and look undeniably sophisticated.

Her purple manicured fingers, that were quite chubby and super clean, they had a fresh skin, best lotion applied to her skin. They slid beautifully onto her sleeve blazer sliding downward and they pass over her uppered, firm chest that had average breasts, but really they were looking quite bigger in size enhanced by the thickness of the blazer. She than gazed onto herself, straight in the mirror.

"Mmm, mmm, mmm" She softly murmured within herself, repositioning her naivy tie with white stripes and she bowed down to pick up her scout, naivy hat for the final touch. Perfectly it fit her as it quietly laid over her head, without a single dirt or imperfection distracting her shine. Oh, Autumn was a very undeniably young beautiful girl. An African dark skin, that had a phenomenal features onto her face and she knew this very well. She kept stroking her blue blazer like that while her eyes endlessly fixated at the mirror in the wall. Darting her eyes, to her well rounded, small baby face that had plums of big lips, covered exquisitely in a shinning lip gloss. Whenever she turned to her window, just to glance at her other side of her face, they shined remarkably making them stand out.

She softly chuckled alone, when her sideburns greeted her from the first go, the second she laid her eyes to those jawlines. Along with her big rounded brown eyes, kept flashing white, whenever she peered nor blink, the sunlight really was enhancing that shine to her eyeballs. Her straight pointed out, short nose, just fitted perfectly. Adding that she was a very short girl, and so for it to be short, resembled everything. It made her look like a tiny short doll with no imperfection.

As she was still staring at herself, smiling, checking herself out but slowly, her eyes started to wet so much in just a short span. She keeps darting her head, sideways, avoiding that negative energy that always finds it's way to intervene and the longer she fought that energy, the more her mood tumbles down. The tears suddenly feints on her face, she swiftly lifts her hand to wipe away all the unneatness. She's bound to be clean, very neat, plus happy and so...her mother should never see her like this.

The second she picked up her bag, she couldn't help but to let her lips quiver. Slightly they shook until they shook so much. A brief flash back took her back as today was her last day at school. They are going to graduate, she's so sad and she doesn't know why. She has managed to keep up with this poker face for more than five years and she doesn't understand why now. Why cry now?

( Seven years ago flash back)

She sees Excell standing on top of the molehill, facing a very distant table mountain, that was peaking just where they were at.

"Climb up Autumn! Climb! I Now this is the place I call the mad jungle! Where all! My animals live cause I'm the king. Right Otty? I'm the King, the king jungle"

Instead she just got fixated at his very light, blonde hair, that looked like a sheep's fur. At that time, they just ran away from home, far distant from it, chased away by their parents. Just after, they were both caught bleaching Excell's hair, to make it shrink and be afro. Autumn chuckled softly alone at the present event, looking herself in the mirror. Thinking how they indeed looked like an afro . And still, even today Excell still has those curls, he never stops reminding her at school.

She breaks down and softly cries, covering her face as she sadly bowed to her chest. Now her neat, looked out blazer was unexpectedly wetting to make her unclean as she disliked being that way.

"I recieved a scholarship overseas, In Australia" Excell gently spoke with his maturing bass voice, his arms leaning against the balcony of the school. He has marked Autumn for two years, that it was her favourite spot to have lunch up there by herself and he was used into bullying her there aswell, but for the first time he realised, it was all in vain. He wanted to say nothing much but something meaningful to leave Autumn behind with. The was no need to fight her anymore, as he was leaving anyways. He stood still, waiting to see if Autumn would flinch but not even a slightest did she.

"They loved my work....they say I deserve to be one of the students in their Art University and I really don't know...if it's just a dream"

She forced herself not to glance at his face as it was very forbidden. If a one school kid can somehow see her for even looking at him, these news might travel to her mother faster than the sunset and she doesn't want that. She doesn't want to Anger her mother.

"I overheard your mother speaking to you yesterday after school"

Autumn's eyes darted over the balcony, looking to the ground. Her eyes endlessly blinking, staring at the grass, wondering at how that was possible? what does he means?

"You have dropped your pen by the side of our street and so I followed you just to....do the righteous thing for once"

Autumn slightly flinched there, blinking her eyes endlessly as if the further just hit between her eyes. It's the moment she was very surprised at what was Excell saying to her. Either way she continued listening to him, to finish up.

"It turns out you're disciplined to not talk to people like me and now I know It was never your fault after blaming you for years–now I know...."Excells sighs loudly, grooming his fainting mood. "Autumn I just never knew there mother's out there, the mothers who are this cruel....."

"Shut up! Shut up!! You know nothing, nothing about me" Autumn shockingly turned with lividness, lashing out at Excell, as she continued making it clear,

"Nobody is forcing me to do anything, nobody has ever forced me into anything!....Why would I? Why would I talk to someone, who is so average like you? use your brain Excell!" She even smacked her forehead, looking straight at him, she wishes that he can nudge this information by her very hand into his skull.

"Your family has been nothing but a yolk in my family for years! Asking for scraps and piles of loans they took that never return!...."

"Wha...what did you just said Autumn ?"

"Hold on I'm still talking. Excell you– you need to learn that you work hard to pay your own bills! Get a real job in a supermarket, teach your family to not be leechers in other people's sweats and stop day dreaming!"

Excell's eyes immediately wets, lifting his head to look above the sky, meanwhile his hands were leaning onto his waist, thinking maybe somehow his day dreaming. His heart has never beaten so fast.

"That's your problem even when we were younger you're always too dreamy! Your head is full of unrealistic garbage, who would lie and say they've been accepted to Australia?.... You? Someone like you?"

She softly chuckled, after sizing him up with her eyes and shook her head while folding her arms.

"No ways, what makes your paintings so special? Australia? Wake up and smell the coffee average boy, You really not that special" She said,

Silence swallowed the balcony after Autumn's exclaims. It was only the sound of trees, that were clapping leaves that was left surrounding their ears. The harsh wind slapped his face, it felt like he was actually being slapped for the second time by her. Even the sun peaking from the clouds, was suddenly just too harsh for his eyes. Until eventually he accepted that this was too realistic to be false, he might as well as take it as it is and leave. But before he did, he had look at her for one last time, enough to last him for years. Because he won't be seeing her that for very long time.

Excell promptly leaves Autumn's sight without a word and at that time, she was too consumed into maintaining her high walls that her mother taught her about. Brave women are ought to be strong and weak ones feel remorse to their opponent. Not in a slightest did she felt that moment overwhelming in any way but rather very annoying.

That memory dusted itself , like a silk rug that was just passing between her eyes and it swiftly blew away. Sadly it brought her back to her sour reality and now....now the tables have turned. They've finally imploded in her tough walls and she just bowed down to her knees and wept with agony.

She wept for the things she said, she wept for the fact that Excell really is going overseas, she has heard this a lot and it was confirmed. She really was sorry for the things she said, none of them were coming directly from her heart, she just had to push him away. She had to keep remembering her mother's words, because that's the way she was disciplined. Excell will never do anything for her, what was there to chase at Excell if he didn't have stability to provide for her? What kind of friend would he looked like next to her? She was even ashamed to murmur these things. "What has she become? What does listening to her mother has made her become?

"Hey! Get up!!! You whiny little thing?! What are you crying for?! I'm waiting for you downstairs and you are busy wailing here?!! " Autumn harshly startles on the floor, lifting her head up to recognise her mother standing so angrily and so tall beside her.

"No, I was not..."

"No?! Get up! " Her mother clutched her by the arm, and Autumn quickly rises recklessly on her knees, her mother's engagement was shrinking her well ironed blazer on her arm and now she'll look like she was never prepared at all.

"You are busy crying, swimming like a fish on a floor, you swim like a fish now?!" Her mother yells on top of her ears beyond livid.

"No I change my mind, lie down and let me get you tested"

"But mom..."

"Lie down now! I won't repeat myself Autumn! Everytime I hear you've been talking with that Xavier boy I worry..."

"But I didn't even see him yesterday "

"Hey!" She lifted her right hand, pausing in the air as she narrowed her fingers, showing Autumn she was ready to smack her at any time. "Everytime, everytime! when my sources tells me you've been talking to that Xavier boy, you comeback crawling into sheets here and sulk!! Are you bewitched Autumn?"

"No mama..."

"What does that boy has ahold of you? Open your legs Autumn, open so I can see your hymen is still intact!"
