Maya was in the shower. Although the bathroom was small and a little stinky still it was no big deal for her. In her previous life, she used to not even have a bathroom as she was living in a slum area. So, she used to manage even though she didn't take a bath for days.
As the drops of water from the shower were pouring on her face and head, it slid down to her neck then to her stomach and then her legs. Her skin was gleaming like a crystal.
Her eyes were closed and many things were going on in her mind.
All the things which happened in her previous and now we're coming infront of her eyes again and again. That man's evil laugh was echoing in his head and the word betrayed was enough to lose control of her temper.
Jerking all the thoughts aside, she quickly wrapped a towel around her and came out of the bathroom. As she stepped out of the bathroom her steps stopped and looked at the entrance where someone was standing and ogling her.
Maya was confused as she wasn't knowing who that person was infront of her but the way he looked at her was enough to alert Maya that whoever that person was having not so pure intention.
Maya's got narrowed but she didn't get scared of him. Looking at him she realised that he was a mere boy of almost 18 to 20 years. He was wearing black ripped jeans with a white top and a black leather jacket.
Also, she could sense the smell of alcohol coming from him indicating that boy was intoxicated and was not in his sanity.
Soon, that boy took a step toward her like a predator and said, " Oh! Our sister-in-law has already arrived in her Hell...hmm and that too like this."
With this, he bite his lower lip looking at her from top to bottom but Maya ignoring his words and actions walked towards the almirah and took out a white suit. After taking the clothes she again started walking toward the bathroom.
Seeing her not giving any response to him made him a little surprised but as he was intoxicated without thinking much he stepped ahead and held her hand and again said in his drunken voice, " Wait for a second Dear sister-in-law! At least give a big hug to your lovely brother-in-law."
With this, he opened his hands and pouted trying to hug and kiss her but before his lips could touch her lips and her body could touch her skin, a tight slap got in contact with his cheek.
As that tight slap landed on his cheek, he lost his balance and fell to the floor on his face making his nose hot on the ground very hard. He groaned in pain. Both his cheeks and nose were paining badly.
All her fingers printed on his cheek and left a red mark on his swollen cheek. Maya who just slapped that little brat jerked her hand as her hand was also paining.
She glanced at his figure on the ground rolling and groaning in pain and rolled her eyes and get in the bathroom.
Here, that boy was still on the ground even when Maya came out of the bathroom wearing that white suit. That suit was rugged and also loose which hide her body shape.
And at this point, Maya knew the reason Raina wearing loose clothes was because some dogs in the form of humans were in the house. Like a dog gets excited seeing a bone, these people also get a boner seeing her.
But as Raina was gone and Maya was in her body she will teach her a good lesson on her behalf of her.
She looked at him with a boring look and sat on her toes and gripped his face and looked at the swollen red cheek on which she just gave a tight slap.
And as she held his face, that boy screamed in pain making Maya close her eyes in annoyance.
She clenched her jaws and said with gritted teeth, " Till now, you took enough advantage. Now it's my time, you little brat. The tables have turned and this time even God is on my side. Everyone will pay their debt with interest!"
With this, she held his hand and dragged him towards the door.
That boy was still a little unconscious and was trying to get rid of her grip but instead, Maya gripped his hand and roughly pushed him out of her room and closed the door with a bang making that boy flinch in fear.
He tried to stand up but due to intoxication and much pain, he lost his sanity. Soon his body stopped moving, indicating that he was now unconscious. And all night, he was left on the floor shivering in a cold environment.
On the other hand, Maya after closing the door sat on the bed and covered herself with the quilt when suddenly she heard someone. She quickly opened her eyes and looked around. Her breath was unstable as this was the same voice that she heard in the hospital's bathroom for the first time.
She again looked around and asked with hesitation, " Is it you that per...no, that man...no, no! that..that voice? Urghhh! Whatever the hell you are! If you are here then reply to me."
"Yes, I am here." She heard.
She again asked, " So..Why are you here? And why did you come this time?"
" Firstly, I can come wherever I want and second thing, I am not having free time like you, so, If I came at this time then it must be important. Did you understand, human?"
Listening to that voice, her mouth got opened in pure shock and somewhat she felt humiliated and that too by a mere voice?!
She looked around and say in a taunting manner, " Okay, then Mr So Busy, tell me the reason for your grand presence in my small mere room."
Ignoring her taunting manner, that voice replied, " I came to give you the memories of Raina, so, you can easily detect the person related to Raina.
I just saw how you threw that boy out of your room. Keeping aside the fact that he is a brat, your action was a little too harsh. Next time you have to be careful or you will be in a big problem.
Not every time I will help you." With this, a sound of click came but after that nothing happened. Maya was also waiting for something to happen but when nothing happened she asked, " What did you do? Nothing happened."
That voice left a small taunting laugh and said with arrogance, " Look outside of your room."
Maya was confused at his statement but she was also curious about it, so, she quickly went towards the door and as she opened her mouth almost dropped to the floor.
The boy whom she left outside wasn't there and she again heard that voice saying, " I have made him go to his room and removed the mark of your slap but he still feels the pain which is a punishment from my side."
She closed the door and lines could be seen on her forehead. She asked, " That little brat deserves it. You only said that you knew about it then why did you do that?"
" Listen to me, human. That boy was my younger cousin of Manish. His parents passed away and from then he started living here. Raina's mother-in-law, Sushama Gupta loved him from the core of her heart.
She cannot see him even in a little bit of pain and you dared to slap him and that too was a tight one. If she got to know or saw him in that condition and that too outside of your room, then think what will she do to you?! Think before taking any action." The voice is like a parent instructing a kid.
In return, Maya stretched her lips and made a face like an annoyed baby and nodded her head and replied, " Okay, I will think before taking any action but what about his memory?"
That voice said in a relaxed tone, " He was drunk, he must forget but if he not then it's none of my business. It's your karma and you have to bear the result of your actions.
Also, as you will sleep the memories of Raina will be automatically transferred into your brain. Now, I will be going from now. Don't mess up this time, human."
With this, the room again got sunk into silence leaving Maya in anger and clenched jaws. She thought.
How dare he?!
I ain't a kid who will do the same mistake again!!
Who does he think of himself?!
Even if he was sent by God still he was just a mere messenger!
And he dared to insult and that too TWICE!!
Come next time you messenger then I will also make you feel humiliated.
Murmuring all kinds of curses for that voice, Maya got on her bed and closed her eyes trying to get some good sleep.
Till now the whole Gupta House was sunk in silence and darkness when someone's steps were heard in the silence. A man entered the house. As that man entered the house, he glanced at a particular room and got lost in his thoughts staring at that room.
But then he jerked all his thoughts aside and murmured, " Tomorrow I will talk to her." With this, he walked up the stairs and went into a room and locked the door from inside.
That man was none other than Manish who was lost in the thoughts of Raina.
At first, he wanted to go home early but when he was in the parking lot, he got a call from one of his clients asking to join him for a dinner. He wanted to decline his offer but that client was very important to Manish.
As he was trying to get the opportunity to talk to him all this time to get the patent for the construction of his mall which was a huge opportunity for Gupta's Enterprises to promote his company pan-India.
So, he not wanting he accepted the offer.
Moreover, after having dinner they also have some drinks and during drinking, Manish tried to gain that client's trust and get the deal but that client was too clever and was also understanding his tactics. So, in return, he also cleverly dodges his questions about the deal.
Manish also understood that the client is now intentionally dodging his talks about the deal.
So, he also started talking about another thing not wanting to be seen as impulsive.
And when finally, he got free from that client he realised that it was too late and directly drove towards the house.
