"Neil? Luke?"
Oh crap, oh crap. I was panicking. This was not how this was supposed to have gone. We were supposed to get out of here without anyone noticing us, especially not Daniel. What the hell was he doing here anyway?
Daniel ran his fingers through his hair as Neil and I exchanged a nervous look. We both knew we were screwed really badly at this point. "This is what I get for believing in you both," he said as he closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. His eyes finally opened and he looked pissed. "You're in so much trouble, both of you."
"Wait, Daniel I can explain," I began but Daniel cut me off with his hand.
"I don't want to hear whatever lies you have cooked up. You lied to me and made me seem like I was paranoid for worrying about you and then you go and pull this on me. I thought we trusted each other but I should have known better." There was so much disappointment in his voice that it actually made me feel bad for having lied to him.
