"Well, well, look who finally decided to show up for class after what? A week of being absent," Mr. Phillips said as Neil and I entered the classroom just a few minutes after the last bell sounded. "It's always a pleasure to have my star pupil show up for class when he gets the urge to, truly brings tears to my eyes."
Neil rolled his eyes as he stopped in front of Mr. Phillips' desk. "It's always nice to see you Mr. P, you are one of my favourite teachers, did you know that?" he said sarcastically as he leaned against the desk, looking Mr. Phillips right in the eyes. "I mean, just look at how you care about so much and how my absence affects you. I mean, I knew I was special," he leaned away from the desk and stood straight, "I just didn't know you had such a soft spot for me in that cold, cold heart of yours Mr. P."
