Chapter 19 - Find a way

"Sis, please give the rendang made by your mother to the Diga family. Hurry up and get cold; it won't be good," ordered the mother, who saw Kai relaxing in front of the TV with the leftover Balado chips that his mother had made this morning.

Kai immediately stood up and cleaned up the chips that fell on his red carpet. Today is Saturday, the time for school children like Kai to relax.

"Yes, ma'am."

Kai immediately got up from his seat and walked towards the kitchen to get a light green basket containing rendang and other side dishes to give to the Diga family.

Diga and Kai's mother has often exchanged food for a long time, not because they couldn't afford to make or buy it but because that's how their relationship became close. Still, for the past few years, it's mostly Diga's mother who has given food to Kai's family because she knows her family's condition is not good, but just okay.

On a very bright journey under the hot sun which seemed to highlight anyone who walked under it, Kai saw an older man carrying bananas on foot.

My heart is not touched to see an older man who should be at that age. It is time to relax and enjoy his old age, but in this cruel life, there is no age. Are we old? Will other humans voluntarily support us?

"How much, sir?" asked Kai while his hand chose a banana in the basket.

"10 thousand, deck," said the old man with a panting breath.

"Want yes, sir, one."

Kai bought a comb of bananas to bring to Diga's house.

"Assalamualaikum," shouted Kai while parking his bicycle in Diga's yard, which was full of plants.

When he entered Diga's yard, he saw a green Indonesian army car parked neatly, indicating that Diga's father was at home.

Kai shouted several greetings, but there was no answer; Kai casually tried to enter with a confused face to ensure that someone was in the house.

"boom!"

"Uh, uncle. Oh my gosh, it's been so long since I've seen you; you're even more handsome!" Kai praised Diga's father. Kai is indeed close to Diga's parents; maybe Kai and Diga's father's closeness exceeds Diga's closeness to his father.

"You can't. Please look at the moustache, uncle. Are you cool yet?"

"Oh, you can't. Let everyone know that your moustache is new?" snapped Diga's mother, who had just come out of the bathroom.

"Aunt. Here is a side dish from mother," Kai said while giving a basket.

After chatting with Diga's parents, Kai immediately went upstairs to approach his best friend because he knew that Diga was sleeping during school holidays like this.

Kai opened Diga's room without knocking on the door because he wanted to shock his best friend; when she entered, there was a human in a blanket with a very cold air conditioner in his room.

It can be seen that Diga's laptop is still on, not Kai, his name, who is not concerned about his best friend's life.

"10 ways to express feelings."

"How to write a letter to a person we like."

A final keyword is on the Google Diga page.

Kai said while his hand tickled Diga's stomach.

"Shh. What's wrong with you? Diga said while hitting Kai's hand lightly.

"Great! Who do you want to express feelings too? Until searching everything on Google," teased Kai.

"Noisy uhhhhh!!!! Sanaaaaa, don't bother!" Diga said while kicking Kai's thigh.

Kai didn't give up on waking up his best friend; he kept on bullying Diga in various ways to wake him up.

"If you work properly, please," said one of the owners of a Padang restaurant near the Raya school.

"Yes, ma'am. Sorry."

At a famous Padang restaurant, Raya tries to help her family's economy by working as a dishwasher there. For almost one month every weekend, Raya gives up her vacation time to make money.

Circumstances forced Raya to do this without knowing her parents and older brother. Raya covered all of this up because if they all found out; she would definitely be judged.

Previously, when Raya's house said goodbye to her mother, who had been frying chips since this morning.

"Ma'am, Raya wants to work in a group first," Raya said.

His brother, who was busy wrapping chips in front of the TV, immediately looked at him cynically.

"Group work continues every week. Do you work in groups or play?" said the older brother judging his younger sibling.

"Here is the money. Ten thousand is enough?" said the mother, reaching into her pocket.

"Enough, ma'am, for the fare."

When Raya was wearing shoes complete with socks, Kai grumbled until he heard his sister's ear.

"You work in group work. Ask for money too! You don't know that you're having a hard time making money, right?"

Raya ignored his words; he immediately walked over and said hello, making his brother even more irritated with his sister's behaviour.

Raya walks to the restaurant with a heart that seems to be sliced every day; she also understands that her life is not the same as it used to be. Regarding the ten thousand money that the mother gave, it was a form of strategy for her not to be suspected because she didn't go asking for money.

"Yes. He said there was a buy 1 get one promo at Mie Yamin, which had just opened in front of the mini market," said Farhan, who had just arrived at Diga's room.

Farhan deliberately went to Diga's house and gave him the math book he borrowed.

Farhan glanced at the laptop still on Diga's study table and then read the articles on the laptop screen.

"Ha ha ha. You're so obsessive, Ga. Until I searched for a way to write a good letter to express my feelings," Farhan chirped while laughing loudly, making Kai laugh with him.

"Yeah, right, Han? He seems enthusiastic about joining it, even though he's the laziest when there's an event at school."

"Who does he like anymore, Han?" asked Kai curiously.

Farhan shook his head, trying to think of a name he would say.

"Ah, you're noisy. Let's eat Yamin noodles," said Diga while throwing two small pillows towards Kai's and Farhan's faces as if he didn't want to be disturbed by the article he was reading.

After leaving Diga's house, Farhan raved more about the correspondence program. Surprisingly, these two humans, who were very quiet at school, could become so noisy in front of Kai.

"I told Diga. 'No, as long as the coconut leaves haven't curved yet, you can still express your feelings,' he said nothing. It's not clear if this is human," said Farhan.

Kai laughed loudly even though in his heart there were many questions about who the human being would be written in Diga's letter.
