Chapter 184 - Post Praimfaya Chapter 33

Pondering for a moment, I weighed the options in front of me. The lives of my friends and the potential for a better future versus the sacrifice of Octavia. It was a difficult decision to make, but in the end, the greater good prevailed. With a heavy heart, I reluctantly accepted Dyoza's offer.

"Fine. We have a deal. Clarke and Zoe will accompany me, and we will remove Octavia . But remember, Dyoza, this doesn't mean we're on the same side. I'm doing this for the people I care about, not for you."

Dyoza's smirk returned, and she signaled to her men. Two of them stepped forward, their hands ready to remove the collars from Clarke and Zoe's necks. As the collars were released, Clarke and Zoe slowly got to their feet, rubbing their necks and looking at me,a little shocked to hear what I was going to do.

"Now, Leon," Dyoza began , "I expect to hear some good news this week. Blodreina must be dealt with, one way or another."

I nodded, understanding what she pointing at. "I'll do what needs to be done, Dyoza. But remember, your forces need to hold up their end of the deal. My friends' safety is non-negotiable."

Dyoza's expression remained the same, and she met my gaze with a smirk on her face. "Rest assured, Leon, I will keep my word as long as you do the same. Now, go. Time is of the essence, and I won't be able to hold McCreary at bay for long so tick tack."

With those final words, Dyoza turned away, leaving me,Clarke and Zoe outside the village. As soon as the gates closed behind the girls, I wrapped my arms around Clarke and Zoe in a tight hug, relieved to see them both safe and sound. "I'm glad you're alright," I whispered, my voice filled with genuine concern.

Clarke pulled away slightly, her brow furrowed with worry. "Leon, why is Madi in Dyoza's hands? What happened?"

I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to explain the situation. "Their ship, the one that's still orbiting Earth, managed to spot us. Dyoza used that to her advantage and tracked down Madi. She's using her as leverage, knowing how much she means to us."

"Damn it,Leon. We need to get her back. No matter what it takes."

Zoe, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up. "What are we going to do now? Are we really going to go against Octavia?"

I looked at Zoe, knowing very well what she meant by that. "I'm sorry Zoe, but we have no choice. If we want to protect our people and ensure a better future, we have to eliminate Octavia. I love her like a sister, but she has become a danger to everyone. We'll do everything we can to resolve this peacefully, but if it comes down to it, we may have to take more drastic measures."

Zoe nodded with her eyes closed. "I understand. We have to do what's necessary, even if it means going through hell and back."

After that ,we left the village behind and made our way towards the rover. To be fair,I didn't bet on talking things out with Octavia on this and because of that we had to catch up with Bellamy and his sister's army, before they reach this place.

As we piled into the rover, the engine roared to life, and the familiar hum of the vehicle echoed through the air. I took my place behind the wheel, Clarke and Zoe settled into the passenger seats, each taking a weapon from the back just in case.

For a while, none of us talked, mostly because we weren't exactly in the mood for any kind of banter, but once we were quite a few kilometers away from the forest,I decided to ask them something that was on my mind ever sicne I've seen them being brought by Dyoza.

"Clarke, Zoe... What happened back at Mount Weather? How did you end up being taken prisoners by Dyoza?"

For a moment, neither of them responded. The atmosphere in the rover grew tense, and I could sense the pain and reluctance in their eyes. Finally, Zoe let out a heavy sigh and explained to me what in the sevel hells happened.

"After Abby and Dyoza had their conversation, she decided to follow Dyoza back here. I don't know why, none of us know, not even now,but Abby was adamant on coming here. Clarke, of course, didn't want that and tried to convince her otherwise, and when that didn't worked, she asked us if we wanted to help change Abby's mind. We thought we could reason with her, but..."

Zoe's voice trailed off, and I could see that Clarke was blaming herself for this while Zoe continued the story.

"But our efforts were in vain. As soon as we were a few hundred meters away from the bunker's entrance, one of Dyoza's men used stun guns to knock us out. The guards who followed us were killed while Clarke, Sergey and I were taken prisoners."

"I'm sorry Clarke, but what the fuck is in your mother's head? Why does she want to bloody came here? What for?"

"I don't know, Leon," Clarke replied, and tears threathen to fall on her face as she continue. "I wish I had the answers. But if I were to guess, my mom believes there's something worth salvaging in Dyoza and her men, something that can help us build a better future."

"But at what cost? Bringing us all into the middle of this chaos, risking lives and killing our people for what? It's madness."

Seeing that things could go wrong, Zoe chimed in, before any harm can be done. "Clarke, Leon, we need to focus on the present. Our priority right now is dealing with Octavia and saving our friends . Abby's actions may have put us in this situation, but dwelling on it won't change anything."

"I'm sorry Clarke. I shouldn't have reacted like that."

Clarke's shoulders sagged with relief as she heard my apology. She reached out and placed a hand over mine. "It's okay, Leon. I understand your frustration. I guess you are right to say that, but despite what she had done, she's still my mother."

"You're right, both of you. We can't afford to let our emotions cloud our judgment."

Clarke squeezed my hand gently. "Thank you, Leon. I know this isn't an easy situation for any of us, but we'll find a way through it."
