Chapter 105 - Chapter 104 - Hide and Seek

"You are dead!"

These words kept repeating in Bellamy's mind as he looked over at his sister, who since she said those words hadn't turned to face him, not even once.

No one said anything when Octavia cursed her own brother, but it was clear that not all of them were ok with how everything went, after all, whether we like it or not we can't choose the family we are born into. As they wanted to forget or at least shake those uncomfortable thoughts out of their heads, Kane, Sinclair, and Miller were trying to figure out a plan of action.

"What do you guys think about patrolling the area in pairs? While going alone would have been better, we can't exactly risk getting ourselves picked up one by one by either the grounders or Pike's soldiers."

"We can do that since we are here, shouldn't we be safe from Pike, at least to some extent? The blockade's that Lexa put on our territory are too close to our cave for Pike to risk looking for us,"

While not taking part in the conversation, he still stood three meters away from them, and as such Bellamy listen to them making their plan. Meanwhile, Sergey stood beside Bellamy, watching not only his friends but also the older Blake. Then out of nowhere, he put forth a question that no one seemed to have thought about it.

"Kane, you said that we are safe from Pike thanks to the blockade, but are we safe from the grounders? From my perspective, we are still at war with them, not to mention that they are actively trying to take Mount Weather. Sadly for them, Leon is one stubborn son of a gun, otherwise, we would have missiles aimed at us by now."

"As long as we stay inside our side, then the grounders shouldn't shoot at us, at least I hope so. As you said, they attacked Mount Weather as soon as Lexa was killed. Whoever is now in charge of the coalition is clearly Azgeda or else I don't know how to explain this kind of hate directed at us."

"They're grounders for god's sake. Do they even need a reason to attack us? On the other hand, do you really think they are going to play by the rules put forward by a death commander? I thought you were smarter than that Kane. "

"Hey, cut it out, Sergey. I know that we are in a bad situation, but we should take care of each other, not fight amongst ourselves. Pike already wants us dead anyways. If we take him out, we can go home without fearing that he would hang or shoot us just because we weren't kissing his ass."

"Miller's right. If somehow manage to take him out, then the Grounders lift the blockade."

"That's right, Harper. We become the thirteenth clan again. Those were the terms before Pike attacked the peacekeepers."

"Guys, I don't want to be that guy, but those were Lexa's terms. If what Bellamy says is true and she is dead, how do we know the next Commander will honor those terms? More so ever when whoever is now in charge seems to want to eradicate us judging by how much they want Mount Weather to fall."

"One problem at a time, Sinclair. One problem at a time."

"What about Clarke? What would happen to her now, Kane? You were the last one to talk to her before we were forced to flee."

"With Lexa gone, she's not safe at Polis, that's the truth whether we like it or not."

"Clarke made her choice. It's not worth our time to worry about her when we have more pressing matters to face and people to kill." Surprising everyone, Bellamy included, Octavia slammed her weapon into the ground, as she made her point. Maybe it was due to losing Lincoln, or maybe she just hated Clarke for abandoning them again and again while not doing anything to help, especially now when Pike practically declared war against the coalition.

Bellamy felt his shoulders drop as he heard the anger in his sister's voice. Her tone was rougher and lacked the usual tone she used before…before losing Lincoln. Moreover, who would blame her for wanting revenge?

"Octavia's right. Once we resume our place in the coalition, Clarke will be safe. Nevertheless, there is only one way for that to happen. One way or another Pike needs to die either by our hand or by the grounders."

"So, what's the plan then Marcus? How do we take Pike and hand him over to the grounders without poking the hornet nest? I don't exactly see a way that won't alert the whole camp of Pike's disappearance, especially when Hannah basically follows him everywhere."

Just as Kane was about to respond, Bellamy's walkie-talkie picked up a transmission from Arkadia. No doubt, someone was trying to find where he was or at least tried to see if he was still alive.

"Bellamy, come in. It's Monty, I'm in trouble. Please say you still have your radio."

"No, Marcus. If we respond and Pike's listening..."

"We are all dead. I know that Sinclair, but what can I do? If Bellamy doesn't respond they would also know that we caught him."

"Maybe they would blame the grounders? Just saying."

"Don't be stupid Bryan. We have been Pike's lackeys for a while now. Do you think he would think that the grounders took Bellamy when we just escaped from Arkadia? Not to mention that if the grounders really did it, they would have put Bellamy's body somewhere where Pike would easily spot it."

Before they could figure out what to do, Bellamy, who until now stood there in silence, startle them when he spoke.

"Go to channel seven. Monty said 'please say you still have your radio.' That's seven words after the word 'trouble'."

"Bellamy, we may have been friends before this whole Pike thing of yours, but do you expect us to believe you just like that? You are after all an enemy to us."

"It's a code Sergey. Leon, Monty, and I create it way back before the stations crash-landed on earth. Please trust me just once. Go to channel seven."

While almost all of them didn't believe Bellamy anymore, especially for what he had done, for some reason Kane believe the older Blake before he gave Sinclair a nod of approval. Letting out a sigh, Sinclair reluctantly switched the radio and handed it off to Marcus, but not before taking one last glance at Bellamy.

"Are you sure, Marcus?"

"Monty, this is Kane. What's happened?"

"Pike knows that I helped you get out, guys. He also decided to abandon Mount Weather, completely after I helped you for some reason."

"Monty, Can you get to the drop ship, before your mother or Pike came after you?"

"I think so. At least I hope so, they are not after my head yet, but I don't think my mother would keep Pike away much longer."

"Good. Go there. Sergey and Bryan will come and get you. Stay off the radio and for the love of god, please don't get yourself killed."
