Chapter 1 - Day Of Awakening

The persistent squeaking of bats roused Astra, causing his eyelids to flutter open, displaying his deep crimson eyes with slit-like pupils. Astra then yawned, revealing his extraordinarily long canines.

As he awoke from his slumber, he noticed a screen in front of him.

"I finally got my class!" Because of his happiness, Astra couldn't help but exclaim excitedly.

"Yes! I received a rare class, and I knew I was better than my cunt of a younger brother."

"But I should get dressed so I can rub it in his smug face."

________

[POV Astra]

I leapt out of bed and rushed directly to my closet to get a fresh outfit ready for when I got out of the tub. I next proceeded to my private bathroom, which was stocked with different fire-related crystals for heating the various water sources.

I switched on my bathtub's faucet and began filling it with hot water while inserting a plug into the drain. As I waited for my bath, I checked my status and imagined the system telling me what my class was.

[Demon Summoner]: Hell's denizens are at your service. You can summon them as long as you make the necessary sacrifice and sign a contract.

I then glanced at the skill this class came with and did the same thing I did with my class.

[Summon Weakest Demon Level:1 Cost 50 mana]

If summoned, one of Hell's most common and weakest monsters, the imp, will answer your call and battle your adversaries.

Requirements for sacrifice

1 Living humanoid with a soul

1 Drop of the user's blood

'Honestly, summoning a demon is significantly less expensive than I had anticipated, given the damage they've caused mankind with their invasion a few hundred years ago.  At least a few of the historical texts claim that.' I thought to myself as I ignored the other abilities because they were racial abilities.

______________

[Third POV: Astra's Bathroom]

The walls of Astra's bathroom were made of white marble, with yellow light crystals hanging from the walls. There was a sink with silver-pure sprockets. The sink basin was built of flawless white marble, and the rubies were precisely shaped to fit the sockets on the side of the sink.

In addition, a pristine marble tub was there, its inner walls adorned with a number of deep-red jewels that seemed to be fire rubies. The tub has pure gold sockets. The bathroom was just a small testament to the wealth of the owner of the estate.

Astra proceeded to scrub his entire body with a piece of quite soft cloth until he felt sufficiently clean in that sense. Then, he started to scrub as much soap as he could into his hair. Astra then seized a nearby bucket that was full of warm water and dumped it over his head.

Astra exited the water after that and headed to the towel rack to dry himself off. When he was fully dry, he picked up his clothing from the wooden stool and started to get dressed.

He wore a white long-sleeved undershirt with a ribbon-like piece of fabric that was smoothly incorporated into the shirt. His black overcoat was sleeveless, exposing his somewhat baggy sleeves. He then put on his underwear, black pants, and a pair of white socks.

Then he peered into a majestic mirror mounted on the wall. The mirror's frame was lined in gold with silver inlays. Various images were carved into it, such as two wolves facing a ruby that was cut to be precisely spherical and placed into a silver frame within the mirror's relatively thick frame; the ruby had a diameter of 19.05 mm.

Astra then proceeded to make his clothes as nice as he could, flattening out any crinkles and making it almost perfectly symmetrical. Then, he started combing his hair so it wasn't all over the place.

Finally, he  exited the restroom and made his way to his door. To the left of his door was a mat where he placed his boots, which he slid on and tied one by one. After that, he unlocked his door and exited his room, entering a luxurious hallway.

The crimson carpet had a golden border; there was a basic diamond pattern in the middle of the red carpet. The walls of the hall were obsidian black, emphasizing the different paintings, sculptures, and two pieces of armor outside Astras' door.

The plated armor was a deep crimson, and each armor had a sword pointing downwards with both hands resting atop the hilt. When you stared through the visors, all you could see was blackness. Additionally, the carvings on the blades were in an unintelligible language.

Astra walked past the two sets of armor and headed left, through paintings of himself, his forefathers, and other family members. Maids curtsied whenever he passed one of them. The roof of the hallways looked to be a night sky with countless stars. It was constructed through magic by one of Astra's ancestors a thousand years ago.

He seemed disinterested in everything around him. He had a cold look in his eyes when he was near the entrance of the dining hall. Astra looked at a younger teen with pale ashen skin and blood red irises. His ears were elongated and pointed; they seemed to be elven in origin. A pure black petticoat was worn with pure black pants, and a blood-red gem was hung from his neck on a golden chain. His undershirt was the exact same deep red as the gem hanging in front of his chest.

His face had almost no fat, and his facial structure was something that many vampire lords of lesser status admired. His hair was pure silver and was neatly combed to his right side, yet a few fairly large clumps of hair defied gravity and stood above the rest. Some of his bangs were hanging in front of his ears, going down to the middle of his neck.

"You actually showed up! I can't wait to see the expression on Father's face when he realizes he made a mistake by choosing the son of a whore to ascend the throne. " As Khalid pointed out, he pretended to be astonished in the first half before seeming joyful in the second.

His statements appeared to irritate Astra even more than the sight of his younger brother. But Astra did nothing more than take a big breath and let it all out.

"Of course I showed up; if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to see your priceless expression when I solidify my position as our father's heir, proving once and for all that you're nothing more than a slimy snake ready to bite the hand that feeds you." After reeling in his rage, Astra snapped back.

Khalid appeared to dismiss all Astra said and promptly pushed through the doors leading to the dining room.

Astra accompanied Khalid into the dining hall. A table around 4.5 meters long and 0.76 meters wide stood in the center of the reasonably spacious room. There were empty wine glasses on the table, as well as a tulip-shaped glass for the sole individual in the room who had facial hair at the time.

He had pure black wavy hair that fell just below his shoulders. He had a small mustache that was pointed at both ends. A large spike of hair came down from the bottom of his chin, and the rest of his lower jaw was a strip of brown hair. He was dressed in a blood-red overcoat with a black undershirt and an inverted collar. He was wearing black gloves on both of his hands.

Right next to this man was a little child, maybe twelve years old, with pitch black hair. He appeared like a younger version of the man, having a more rounder face and a slimmer frame compared to the man who had fairly broad shoulders.

"Astra, Khalid, did you two....."
