Acacia listened carefully as Jared gave out his word in a more powerful manner.
At first, he was angry, later he was pleading but now, his true nature resurfaced - the untrusting King.
"Not until I am sure of what they want, your main goal should be on getting Xander."
She fell silent. He had her where he wanted her. If she was sensible, she would not have spoken about Regan but she let her emotions get the best of her, hoping to chip in a good thought.
"Do not fail me, Acacia." She pred her lips open finally, wanting to speak when his next words came off strongly. "Dismissed."
Without awaiting her reply he made his way to his table and sat down on his seat as he immediately went to work reviewing the scrolls piled up on his desk.
Having no more room there, Acacia resigned herself to her fate and excused herself.
