Arcacia gulped where she stood as a new kind of fear enveloped her.
'Do not tell me, Lord Xander has specific eyes on me?' Acacia wondered inwardly.
He had not been one to meddle in their politics or her fight with any of the court officials. However, she wondered why the sudden interest in her.
"Arcacia?" Her father lifted a brow and waited for her response but he got none. She was too lost in thought to hear him. "Arcacia." He called her again.
"Hmm." This time she managed to clear her mind and respond. Still, he wasn't satisfied and called her out once more. "Yes, father?"
"Good. You heard me?"
"I did. I only wonder why you said what you did."
"What do you mean?"
"You said earlier on that he was one who had no interest in doing things maliciously for selfish gains."
