She made an attempt to turn but stopped when his deep voice rang loud and clear.
"I've missed watching this view. I've missed you too, Raven."
Her heart skidded to an abrupt stop as his words replayed in her head.
"Raven, I'm sorry."
Those words felt like music to her ears and immediately she forgot her words to make him miss her and give him a taste of his own medicine.
Her heart resumed its beats again. This time heavier to the point it felt like her eardrums would burst.
"I thought avoiding you would help lessen this hunger I feel to have you near and with me but I was a fool to believe that. It only made it worse and…"
She turned fully, sprinting as fast as her feet could take her as she threw her body into his arms.
To Xavier's surprise, Raven who he felt would be very angry with him, came running down to his arms like the saviour she had been waiting for.
