Once Xander was sure Jared was far off, he quickly activated the barrier around his chambers and tried to contact Sky again.
Heaven knows he was growing itchy by the second and wanted nothing but to appear in Drakenflame and claim her as his.
He could not lay claim to her now. Not before the king or anyone. She had been outlawed but before their real king, it would be the perfect union.
He waited for a few heartbeats before the sound of her giggles entered his ears.
His brows knitted while his brain tried to fathom what was going on.
"Sky?"
"Hmm?"
"What's going on? Who is there with you?"
"No one."
His eyes grew darker. He could tell someone or something had made her laugh.
"Fine, who came to visit you?"
