"I see. Always one step ahead as expected," Jared announced and walked inside the chambers with his chin held high.
Xander exhaled and gave his greetings while acting as naturally as he always did.
"Your Majesty, good evening. To what do I owe this pleasure?" Xander inquired and stood up from his chair.
He made his way towards the small living room before his bed chamber and offered King Jared a seat.
Rather than speaking, Jared squinted at him a bit before sitting down.
Unlike other times, he seemed very eager to welcome him. It was either that or he was really overthinking the matter.
"Nothing much."
Following suit, Xander sat down with him and was about to inquire about what he could offer him when Jared lifted his palm to stop him.
