Having the king of Drakenflare kneel before her, was more than Raven could have asked for.
She was hurt and that was a fact but his apology was enough for her.
"Xavier."
"I'm sorry. I was hard-headed with finding a link between you and Saphira and I let things get out of hand, ignoring how you felt."
Her eyes remained wide seeing as he refused to get back up on his feet. Anyone who came in now would think she was bullying him.
"Xavier, please get up. This is an unlikely sight."
"I deserve this."
"You can apologize like any normal person. You are a king," she emphasized.
"I did not do my actions as one. Which is why taking the title away, I came to see your forgiveness."
Raven breathed out in frustration. Never had she had anyone of social status kneel before her.
Perhaps maids did from time to time when they erred and sought her forgiveness but not this.
