Xavier had not expected her to duck but what he did not expect even more was the opening of his chamber's door at the very same time.
To make matters worse, the one who had walked in was equally the wrong person to have appeared.
Xavier's jaw dropped as he stared at Skylar while the latter stared in shock at the scene she had walked into.
Raven who had fallen backwards but had Xavier's hold still keeping her body in place, viewed the intruder from an upside-down angle.
Her brows squeezed as she made sense of who it was. "Wait. Sky?"
Her words seemed to be the spell that broke the mental state they found themselves in.
"Umm, my apologies," Sky announced and closed the door with a sharp thud as she withdrew and went outside.
It was Raven who was the first to react after what nonsense just happened between them.
