Xavier had to admit, he expected such a question but that was the question he wished not to answer because he did not have an answer.
Should he find out later that Raven was not his late wife, would that not mean he was romantically attached to another?
Although the idea was not a bad one, Xavier did not know if he was ready to move on just yet or not.
Besides, he would have no excuse for keeping her around. He would need to send her back.
Even the thought of not seeing her again after his journey made his heart clench so tight in his chest, that he could barely breathe properly.
"Your Majesty, are you okay?" Zeno asked with concern laced in his tone.
"Aye."
"Okay. Then please answer the question because I believe she deserves her freedom."
"I understand what you mean but I cannot say."
