Raven heaved out a deep sigh. Without being told she knew she had lost in this game. However, all hope was not lost but she failed to see it from that point of view.
It was not until Xander spoke up that she understood this point.
"If you are done eating, Lady Raven, I would take you to the library now."
Raven got up from her seat, straightened her gown and placed both hands in front of her stomach in the best ladylike manner she could conjure.
"I'm ready."
"Okay. Zeno, I would meet up with you in the control room."
"Aye."
Without uttering any word to Zeno, she dipped in her head and walked away first, leaving Xander to follow.
Raven was sad. She had misused her opportunity to get on Xavier's good side and could only envy Layla who was seen as the perfect pet with him.
However, she preferred being this way to being his pet or underling like the rest of them.
