With the new information Xavier had, he knew he had to be careful in everything he did pertaining to Raven.
There was much to figure out with her. This was not a one-day feat.
And little by little he recognized her differences daily. However, he enjoyed her storytelling while they walked back to her room.
At this point, Xavier was not bothered by the fact that she would place a keen interest in understanding the route they took.
He knew this when he directly took a different path that led them to round a certain axis. Yet Raven paid no attention.
She was more focused on explaining everything that happened in the story than anything.
And if not that he had to make sure she wasn't taking note, he would have been invested as well.
