With the explanation Xavier brought before him, he found it hard to refute his words, knowing how he reacted just now.
And true to what Xavier said, his mind was clouded.
Letting out a deep sigh, he lowered his head, unable to utter any words of defence.
"But, Your Majesty, the mate bond had not kicked in."
"You two have barely seen each other, you know."
"Yes, your grace," Xander agreed. That was true what Xavier said but he was skeptical about believing it all.
"You are more of a logical person but you let emotions override your thinking. Think about it properly though. I am not saying you should force anything."
"Noted, Your Majesty. Okay then, from knowing my truth, or guessing what may be wrong, can you trust me with what is really wrong?"
"That was never the deal. I would figure it out myself," Xavier answered evasively.
