Regan lowered his gaze again. This was becoming annoying.
"Father, I love Acacia."
The room fell silent save for the heartbeats of the two of them and the light pouring of the raindrops out outside.
Aragorn fixed his attention ahead as though he had heard nothing from his son.
"I have feeling for her and I want her as my bride."
Aragorn's hand trembled with every word leaving his son's lips.
"Father."
He snapped his head to the side taking note of the seriousness on his son's face. After scrutinizing his son for a while.
"Stupid boy. Do you really think she has feelings for you?" Aragorn asked with so much bore and tiredness in his tone.
"I know she does."
"Not the way I see it. Just the way I wished you would find something about Drakenflare, her father was using her to tame you and hide his secret. You two simply played a game and flirted. Nothing more."
