Hannah and Raymond had gone to check out the new apartment Raymond had gotten for Hannah online.
Hannah was surprised as she took in the sight of the estate. She knew that Raymond was going to get her somewhere nice to live, but this felt too much to her.
He bought a house in a newly completed estate, and they were probably the first and only buyers for now since the prices of the buildings in the estate were very high.
As they drove into the estate, Hannah couldn't take her eyes off the scenery in front of her. The whole estate was designed beautifully. Every little thing around them screamed beauty.
They came down from Raymond's car and as the air of the surrounding met her exposed skin, she shivered lightly, which didn't go unnoticed by Raymond.
"Are you cold?" He asked as he moved closer to her, ready to take off his jacket if she said yes.
Hannah shook her head in response and began to walk ahead with Raymond tailing behind her.
Raymond didn't like it. He felt like a subordinate walking behind his boss. To fix it, he took two steps forward to catch up with Hannah and he walked beside her on her right.
'So much better. He thought.
As they walked, looking at all the buildings in the estate, Raymond felt someone watching them. He turned slightly, his eyes on the ground.
He saw black leather shoes following them. He slowly raised his gaze and noticed blood on the man's trousers.
'Shit!' He cursed inwardly.
Raymond was alarmed and scared. He wasn't scared for himself, he was scared for Hannah. She had almost been attacked recently and he knew that her attackers would still come back for her since they didn't get her the first time. He just didn't expect them to come this soon.
He tensed up immediately, and Hannah felt the change in the air surrounding him. She felt the sudden dark aura that was dancing around him and she immediately knew something was wrong.
She had fought along with Raymond several times and she knew the times when he was in his battle mode.
And now was one of those times.
She didn't perceive any danger around them, so she turned slightly and saw the black leather shoes walking toward them.
Her gaze raised higher, from his shoes upwards and she saw blood dripping from his hand, down to his trousers and then to the ground.
Her murderous aura blazed intently and she was ready to kill whoever was coming toward them.
She had the same thought as Raymond.
Maybe this was the person who had come to attack her yesterday. She got angrier as she remembered what happened to Penelope.
Her murderous aura, mixed with Raymond's had made the air around them suffocating. Anyone around them at that moment would have felt the intensity in the air and would have jolted away in fear but the man kept on walking toward them like he was immune to it.
Hannah stopped walking. She turned fully to face the person following them. She expected to see a masked man, or a scared man, but what she saw made her eyes widen and she stopped breathing without realizing it.
When their handsome face of Axel came into view, she thought she was dreaming. The suffocating air around the both of them vanished without a trace.
Axel walked closer to them. The couple had already stopped in their tracks and turned to face him, allowing him a closer look at their faces. He knew that they were the ones, but what he didn't expect was the sudden blow that landed on his face, making him fall to the ground.
Raymond punched Axel in the face, making Hannah look at him with a shocked and angered expression on her face.
"Why did you hit him?" Hannah asked, her voice a little higher than he knew.
Raymond couldn't answer.
He didn't mean to hit Axel but in the situation, he was in, he had to find a way to keep him silent and this was the first thing that came to his head.
He didn't want Hannah to know that he knew Axel or that he made a deal with him or else everything would be ruined. And besides, if Axel had not walked up to them like that, he wouldn't have punched him.
Hannah panicked as Axel lay on the ground unmoving. She knew that a single blow from Raymond was enough to end a man's life and that was why she was worried.
She wasn't worried because she cared for him, she was worried because if he died now, then she would never get back her annunciator.
She bent to the ground and shook him slightly but he didn't wake up. She continued to shake him and she shook him harder as time passed but he didn't wake up.
She looked at Raymond with a worried expression and Raymond rolled his eyes.
His blow wasn't that hard to kill him. Maybe something else was wrong with him.
"Let's take him to the hospital". Raymond said. "I think something is wrong with him".
Hannah immediately nodded and made way for Raymond to carry Axel.
Raymond looked at her with a big question mark dancing in his eyes.
'She is not expecting me to carry him now, is she?' He thought. He looked around the estate, trying to see If there were any bodyguards around but he saw none.
He took slow steps towards Axel who was on the floor and carefully raised him and placed him on his shoulder. He turned around to look at Hannah and when she saw the displaced look on his face she blurted out,
" Don't give me that look, it's your fault he is in this condition or do you expect me to carry him?" Hannah asked, glaring at him.
Raymond sighed heavily and walked to his car. He dropped the axel on the back seat and closed the door. He opened the door to the driver's seat and hopped in. Hannah was already seated in the passenger's seat, so he just started the engine and drove out of the estate.
