Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Into Hell

Jackson quickly exited as Finn opened the door. I grabbed my bag and followed him. He went to take it, but I tightened my grip on the strap. He closed his eyes and turned to walk up the stairs. As we approached two she wolves opened the doors dressed in maid uniforms. "Welcome home your Royal Higness, His Majesty awaits you in the throne room." He nodded and I quickly followed as his long legs stretched taking big steps. We walked through the halls twisting and turning until we came to two large gold and green doors.

"Don't talk unless he addresses you." The doors where pulled open as he nodded hisnhead to the guards. He walked in the floor changing to a white marble. A long green rug ran from the door to a stage where two large chairs sat. In chair sat one sat a beautiful woman dressed in greens. Her red hair tied in a braided bun, her eyes a startling bright green. Pearl's adorned her hair, neck, and ears. A golden crown sat on her head with deep green emeralds.

In the other a bearded man sat he looked sternly at Jackson his eyes a radiant gold. His hair dark and his black wardrobe matching that of a true king. His cloak a green trimmed in white as golden chains hung across his chest. It was trimmed with black fur, and a Golden crown sat higher on his head. "Me Son, come and tell me what happened." Jackson approached further into the throne room and kneeled. "Your Majesty, I can not explain it, but I can show you with Paisley's help." He hung his head and the Queen glanced at me. "Come here my dear." She spoke and I walked closer kneeling next to Jackson. He let out a deep breath as if I worried him.

The king moved closer and tilted my head up. "Mhmm a bit barbaric wouldn't you say my Queen?" I glanced over at her to see her smile kindly. "Maybe, but I think she is strong." The King let go of my chin. "Show me what my son is so worried about Paisley Sterling." I rose and put my hand out. "Your Majesty if you would allow me to take you hands or place yours in mine." He grabbed my hand. His skin felt rough and dry, as I held out my other hand towards the Queen. She placed her hand lightly in mine. Her skin soft like a rose petal.

Thinking back to the water I showed them the surge of power, Jackson's face as he couldn't untransform and him running away. I sent then the feelings of raw power that had rushed through our bodies as fluid as the water behind us, and as strong as the thickest flame. When I was done I released my hands and they slid their hands from mine. "Thank you my Dear." Said the Queen as I turned to walk down next to Jackson who still kneeled. "Rise our son."

The King boomed, and it echoed theoighnthe empty hall. "You think she took from you?" He stood up and glanced over at me. "I'm not sure. I thought so at the time, but I feel fine." The King's gaze slid to mine. "Take her to the dungeon." My eyes grew wide as three large black knights came from behind the pillars. "Jackson?" I said nervously, but he didn't turn.

As they approached I dropped my bag and ran for the doors. They where locked and I dodged them the firdt few minutes before one clamped down on my arm. "Let go! I didn't do anything. You can't hold me." They dragged me to the front of the room and made me kneel as the King held up his hand. "Wrong my child. I can do anything here." I refused to bow anymore and pushed myself up against the guards. "You're wrong. I didn't take a thing from him. We have a strong connection thay was blessed by the moon goddess." I turned my head to Jackson who was looking right at me. "If you do this I will not forgive you."

The King waved his hand and they pulled me away as I fought to free myself. We made our way through more twists and turns passing dogs that where chained to a wall. They sat like robots, not making a sound. They pulled me through a wooden door and down a staircase. A smell of mold and dirt filled my nose as we desensed down into the cool dark dungeon. They threw me into a cage and locked the door before I ran to it shaking the door.

"Let me out you brutes." I screamed as their footsteps faded back up the stairs. "It's no use. Once your in here you don't leave." I turned towards the voice and there sat an older man. His skin caked with grime. "How long have you been in here?" He shrugged and looked around. "No idea." I glanced around trying to find something to break the lock.

"I am so sorry Paisley." Jackson sent down the line. "Fuck you Jackson I gave you everything. A family who loves you, my body, my heart... You know this isn't right. I'd never hurt you." I sent back to be met with no response. I remembered the clips in my hair. I took one out and ripped the white feather off tossing in to the ground. "Even if you pick that lock where are you going to go?" I slid my hand into my jacket and felt the ticket. "Home. Want to come this place is Hell." He perked up and then leaned back.

"I can't leave my daughter." I shrugged and pulled the clip. "Bring her too." I said as I reached around and started playing with the lock. "She won't come. She is a Queen here." I turned to face him. "So you are a spy, or she is trapped." He nodded and didn't say which he was. "Well which one is it?" I asked as I turned the clip insode the lock. "She loves her mate, but I know she is unhappy. She wants to be as she was running Irelands cliffs."

I nodded understanding the sense of freedom she longed for. "Well she is a queen she can do that." The man shook his head, and there where footsteps coming down the stairs. I pulled the clip from the lock and pocketed it as the guards came down with food and water. My ring glowed and I quickly tucked it to my side. They tossed it onto the floor and the man began to eat. He handed me an apple. Remembering the warnings from Paco and the stewardesses I looked it over and placed it in my pocket. The man behind me held his throat and turned purple. I rushed to his side and thought he was choking until a foam rose from his lips.

Tears fell from my eyes as I placed the man on the bench and folded his arms. I put two coins over his eyes hoping he would find some peace as he passed. "How evil are these people." I cried as I took the metal from my pocket. I went back to the lock and heard a click. I started up the stairs and heard the guards from the door walk away and new ones take their place. "Think they ate?" Said one guard and the other moved. "Only one way to find out. They opened the door and I slid behind it as they opened it. Both guards headed down the stairs and turned to close the door. I kicked them down the stairs and ran around the door closing it behind me. I ran down the hallway and smelt bread. I walked down through the empty halls finding a staircase. I went into a door and found a maid uniform. This would have to work.
