Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - Mates? What?

Sky's POV

It took a small while for my brain to think of what words I should use next. Myra and Samantha both had worried looks on their faces as I felt speechless. Some type of shock then ran through my body once it had finally settled in.

"Mates? Isn't that a word for friends? Because cool, we can be friends as long as you don't bite me to death." I asked them, trying to add some humour into it before Myra shook her head at me. "No. Mates are much more than friends to us vampires." she told me before my lips then turned into a frown as some tears started to go down my cheeks. I then scooted towards the edge of the large double bed and began to walk out of the room until Samantha grabbed my wrist.

"Let her go, Sammy. She needs some space." Myra told her 'mate', that word will never be the fucking same ever again after hearing that they are much more than friends. I then felt her grip loosen as she let me go. I had no direction of where I was going, so I just followed the hallway and found some stairs which lead to the first floor. I then opened the black door and walked outside towards a bench. I didn't want to go far, in case I would get into trouble by them.

I then dropped my head down into my shaking hands, before I let out loud sobs of just agony. Everything...Every single thing was a disaster. I was in my little apartment, then all of a sudden my TV went possessed and then I heard Myra and Samantha speak to me but they weren't fucking there! Then, I got put into a weird trance and here I am! Crying on a bench until I had no more tears left.

What do I do? What do I honestly fucking do now that I have two 'mates'!? I won't be able to fall in love with them, no matter how soft they are towards me. They took away everything that I had! Oh for fuck sake, Sky! Get yourself together, girl!

I took large heavy deep breaths in and out until my heart became steady and my lungs felt normal again, instead of feeling like they were drowning. I then stood up, wobbling a tiny bit from the lack of food and something to drink. I then made my way slowly back into the house and looked around for the kitchen, which was just around the corner of the stairs.

I walked over to it before I walked straight to the fridge. I opened it to reveal all sorts of delicious healthy food to keep myself going. I chose to make a cheese sandwich with some salad as the side.

I decided to explore the house a little more while I ate my...late dinner. I didn't realise that it was 8 in the evening. Does it count as a late dinner?

After I finished my dinner, I headed back to the kitchen and washed the plate. I then went back upstairs in hoping to find a spare bedroom. I had a small draft of a plan in my mind, and I am not sure on how it will go. A few minutes later, all I could find was just an empty storage room. They got a nice big house and they only have one decent sized bathroom, their bedroom which looked like it came from a bloody posh hotel, and this stupid empty storage room that hasn't been used!

I guess I will have to ask them for a blanket so I can sleep on the sofa.

So, I walked to their bedroom and opened the door since it was closed...oh my god.

This was my first time seeing them...bare. They were laying on the bed, gazing into each other's eyes before their eyes looked over to a shy little me. "C...Can I borrow a blanket? I..I am going to sleep in the living room tonight." I asked them, my cheeks flushing a dark shade of red.

"We understand, beautiful. I got a huge selection of them at the bottom of the wardrobe. It is just behind you." Myra replied, pointing to the built in wardrobe. I turned around before I placed my fingers against the edge of the mirror and moved it across, revealing a whole bunch of dark coloured clothes and the selection of blankets below. "Thank you." I told them as I grabbed a red spotty blanket before I quickly rushed out of the room and closed the door behind me.

I took a small sigh of relief and then made my way back down the stairs, going into the living room and then collapsed from exhaustion onto the black sofa.

At least I wasn't sleeping with them...
