The grey sky rumbled mightily signalling the arrival of a heavy rain fall. Nimo Selburn gazed down through the foggy ancient window of her room as the farewell party of her uncle, Rondor Selburn ended and the guests departed. He had been appointed by His majesty, King Sessa Tressor III to lead the RedHulk army to the borders of Panirut Kingdom to stop the Western Vill from invading Panirut and putting an end to the battle going on at the borders.
Uncle Rondor was Nimo's favourite person, he had always known she was different. Her mother died when she was three years old, two years later her father married her stepmother. As a growing up girl, it was the expectation of her father and stepmother for her and her stepsister, Ummi to dress up, attend balls and parties and get themselves men of dignities to get married to.
But Nimo was never interested in those, Uncle Rondor gave her her first sword when she was five and even though it was a wooden one she had cherished it. He taught her sword plays and some moves, taught her how to ride and wrestle. At fifteen, she was better than most of her male friends.
She had always dreamt of defending Panirut but unfortunately women weren't allowed in the army. Women were seen as delicate creatures, but Nimo knew she wasn't delicate. Amongst her friends and even her sister she looked like a giant...not really. She was just taller than most girls and even some boys, she had even overheard some boys making fun of her of being a boy trapped in the body of a girl. Nimo doesn't mind anyway, she knew had extra strength.
Nimo slept off while devising plans on how to go to the borders the next day.
