Chapter 25 - Talk with Two Prodigies

Ryuu was still blushing, her eyes flickering to and from my now clothed chest, making me grin.

Moving over to her, I leaned forwards, clasping my hands in front of me as I pressed them together, saying "I thought you said they were just... unnecessary fat? Why are you so enamored with them then, hmm~?"

Ryuu went completely crimson, her emerald eyes looking at the floor as she muttered "J-Just because they're unnecessary doesn't mean I want to see them!"

I chuckled, standing back up as I said "Haven't you seen your Familia Members breasts? You all bathe together do you not?"

Ais nodded, saying "All females in the Loki Familia... bathe together. Builds... character? According to Loki..."

Chuckling again, I grinned at Ais, who was still staring at my chest, before looking down at her own.

"Will mine... grow like yours?"

I shrugged, and the golden haired human pursed her lips, still comparing them as she said "Yours... are too big. Heavy."

I laughed, saying "Yeah, sometimes they hurt my back... but hey, I love having them~"

Ais nodded, before tilting her head as she looked at the crimson Ryuu.

"Are you... okay?"

"NO! She just... she just was NAKED!"

The normally quiet elf was now shouting, making someone groan behind me.

Turning, I covered my face as I held in a laugh, looking at the nude figure of Bia stumbling into the kitchen.

"The hell is all this noise..."

Yawning, she stretched, before looking at the two girls with a blank stare.

Shrugging, she sat in a free chair, saying "What's for breakfast? Ah~ So tired..."

Laying her head on the table, Bia chuckled slightly as Ryuu's entire body flushed, turning away as she screwed her eyes shut.

As for Ais...

"I want breasts like yours... seems better for fighting..."

Bia pursed her lips, looking towards me as she said "Hmm... I don't know, Nikoletta does fine with those giant things..."

I sighed, turning back to the stove as I added another slab of meat.

"Will you PLEASE stop talking about breasts! And have some decency Lady Bia!"

Ryuu's voice was slightly shrill, making Bia wince.

"Fine, fine... Hah... kids these days..."

Getting up, she disappeared back into her room, reappearing with a loose dress draped over her body.

"Better?"

Ryuu nodded, huffing as she crossed her arms.

"So, what brings two talented girls like yourselves to our humble abode?"

Hearing Bia's question, Ais held up two fingers.

"Two things."

Falling silent, she stared at the waiting Bia, who blinked a few times before shaking her head.

"Nikoletta, thank the heavens I raised you to at least act like a person..."

I chuckled at that, while Ais simply tilted her head, still confused.

Sighing, Ryuu spoke next, her voice exasperated as she said "Two things from me as well. One, Lady Astraea wishes to know if you, Nikoletta Bia, wanted to join the Astraea Familia."

Bia and I turned to look at the golden elf, narrowing our eyes.

Shuffling under our gazes, Ryuu bit her lip as she said "Yeah, I thought so..."

Returning my attention back to the stove, I flipped the beef, nodding at its light brown sear.

"Tell her thank you, but I am fine."

Sighing, Ryuu continued.

"Second... is a more personal request. Do you think... we could train together? You were the first person outside of my Familia to defeat me..."

I nodded my head, saying "I don't see why not."

Peering over my shoulder, I chuckled at how she beamed at me, her emerald eyes glowing.

Pouting, Ais looked over at her, saying "No fair... I was asked first."

Turning her golden eyes towards Bia, she took a breath as she said "Loki wants to ask... if you'd allow Nikoletta to accompany us to the Middle Floors..."

Bia shrugged, pointing over at me as she said "Ask her."

Opening her mouth, Ais was about to repeat the question, making me sigh.

"Yeah, sure, why not."

Nodding, Ais then asked "Would you... train with me... as well?"

That made me stop, turning to look at her as I asked "Why? You can train against some of the strongest adventurers in the city... why me?"

"They are strong... yes, they are... but..."

Pursing her thin lips, Ais narrowed her eyes at me, saying "They don't fight... to kill, like you. I need... to get stronger, and if I know what to expect... against other people, I can protect myself... my friends..."

I nodded at her, smiling wryly at her before raising a brow at the shuffling Ryuu.

"Thats... my reason as well. There has been an increase in evil adventurers, so I need to get better at fighting an opponent who wishes to kill..."

I chuckled, smirking at the elf as I said "Yet you were the one to look at me like I was scum yesterday."

She bit her lip, looking at the table before...

I widened my eyes as I saw her bow her head, apologizing to me.

"I'm sorry for my behavior... Captain Alise scolded me for that display..."

"Look up; for gods sake you're an elf. Its odd seeing you bow your head."

She looked at me in surprise, before nodding to me.

"Better. Now, I'm willing to train with you, but don't expect it to happen often. I need to delve into the Dungeon for money, and you both have obligations towards your Familia."

The two girls nodded, looking at one another before turning back to me, their faces determined.

"Good. Well, let's eat!"

Placing the two slabs of meat on a plate, I put it on the table before tossing an apple to Ryuu, who's nose was scrunched up in distaste.

She seemed surprised about the apple, making me roll my eyes as I said "I'm not an idiot, you know. You elves don't eat meat. Some weird rule you all have..."

Glaring at me, Ryuu said "It's not weird! We live with the land, not off it! In fact-"

I started debating the pros and cons of meat with the elven girl, Ais watching on with curious eyes as she devoured her portion.

Bia remained quiet, a small smile on her lips as she poured herself a glass of wine, watching us bicker at one another.

It felt... weird, having a full table and lively kitchen.

I was so used to it being Bia and I, both not morning people, that this change made my heart feel warm.

When was the last time I actually... just talked with someone? With no ulterior motives, or hoping to bed them?

Sighing, I pursed my lips as I stared at the livid elf, chuckling at her expression.

Maybe... maybe we could just be friends.
