Chapter 27 - Luck

When the stranger faced Ysabel, the latter purposely tripped on her own dress and reached for the cover on the other lady's face.

When it slipped off, she inwardly gasped. 

The lady was one of her mother's ladies-in-waiting. 

Although she didn't know them by name, she remembered their faces. 

Ysabel became even more determined to unravel the mystery of her mother's death.

'What kind of terrible thing did you even do, mother?'

"What do you think you're doing?"

The lady grabbed the cover which Ysabel was holding. She hastily put it back on, glaring at Ysabel. 

At that instant, the young monarch was tempted to tell the lady who she was. But then, she would never find out who the man she was with was. 

The head of the palace maid and one of her mother's ladies-in-waiting, both meeting the same man, was suspicious. 

'Who is he? What are they trying to hide?'
