Outside the grand ballroom was a garden where a short bridge could be used to cross the fruit garden. There was an assortment of ready-to-pick fresh apples, oranges, and so on.
Prince Hinrik found himself wandering about, trying to calm his thoughts and his heart. The scene at the ballroom was too much for him to handle. He needed a breather.
"Fancy meeting you here, Hinrik," a familiar individual joined Hinrik as he watched the clear water pass below the wooden bridge. He snorted, keeping his gaze anywhere else but the face of Kian.
"It beats me why you're suddenly following me around."
Kian chuckled at Hinrik's response.
"Well, I just thought you might need some company."
Prince Hinrik scoffed.
"Thank you for your seemingly genuine concern. We have never been close. So that's a bit surprising."
