Chapter 84 - Never meant to be

Papers, books and several other materials lay on the desk before Ysabel. She placed a hand on her hips and the other drummed on her chin. 

She stared at one piece and then another, figuring out which contained something about dethronement.

Of all the lessons they tried to teach her, she could not remember her tutors mentioning that heavy punishment.

After several more seconds of debate, Ysabel gave up. She slammed her hand on the wooden desk, grateful for her ancestors building a library.

It usually gathers dust, but Ysabel would sneak a visit and let the queen think she ran away.

The young monarch set aside the mess she made, dropping her head on the desk.
