By nightfall, the palace was the brightest building everyone could look at. On the road toward the palace, a man could be seen pulling a cart with apples on them. 

Sweat fell from his forehead but he pushed through.

His wife had prohibited him from leaving, however, the man was persistent. He wanted to repay the princess for saving him when he thought he was dying.
