Before the sun could fully rise the following morning, King Baltimore had two horses prepared. Ysabel then joined him by the courtyard, the latter yawning but smiling after catching his father's gaze.
"I always enjoy rides with you, father. It's been a while since we had one."
King Baltimore gestured towards the horses.
"Let's not waste time then. Your mother would like to have you back in time for your lessons."
Ysabel made a face.
"I hate those," she muttered. King Baltimore chuckled, helping Ysabel mount a different horse. Her horse was spooked yesterday.
It refused to come out.
The princess settled on top of the horse, stroking its mane to get into its good graces. After her day's lessons, Ysabel had thought of something to do.
"Riding in the morning would help you cope, and of course, I'm with you."
