The sound of the whistling birds from the woods halted Ysabel from entering. She pulled the reins on her horse, listening to her neigh before obeying her command.
"I don't really know what else I'll find, but anything is better than nothing, right?" Ysabel muttered. She has become uncertain about her decision now.
She was not alone the last two times that she came to the woods. Hinrik came with her on the first one, and Reis was with her during the second.
But neither of them was there with her now.
"I shouldn't be reliant on those two. See? I'm feeling anxious about going alone now," Ysabel breathed out a sigh. "Damn."
Clutching the reins tightly, Ysabel took her time before giving her horse a gentle kick. She needed to keep moving forward.
