"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."

Ysabel opened her eyes to the dim room. Someone was tapping her shoulders to wake her. The face above hers showed Reis.
"I'm sorry to have barged in here, your highness. But it's time to go."
"Oh," Ysabel answered, her hands feeling for the space beside her. It was still a little warm. She couldn't help but wonder where Hinrik had gone or if Reis had seen anything.
But she cannot ask Reis about that. Clearing her throat, the young monarch slowly got up.
"Thanks for waking me up," she mumbled. Her eyes were now fully open. Her mind was barely awake, though.
The dream she had felt so real, Ysabel couldn't help but shiver.
"Did you have a good rest, your highness?"
Ysabel nodded.
"I did," she smiled, avoiding thinking of Hinrik. "And you?"
"I did, too," Reis smiled. Ysabel smiled back.
