The dining hall of Bezmun was as grand as the one in Eyeris. It resembled the silence as well, making Ysabel feel almost at home.
The sound of the utensils was the only sound heard inside. The servants stood on the side, making Ysabel feel a little uncomfortable.
Reis and Nolan sat by Ysabel while Gwendolyn sat across and by himself. King Hinrik sat at the head of the table, sipping wine and barely eating.
Ysabel noticed the dark circles under his eyes, indicating how the past few days had been for him.
Hinrik watched his guests eat, his thoughts going back and forth between Ysabel and the unfamiliar person she was with. He didn't appear to be one of her servants, and the way he dressed reminded him of merchants who sell jewels.
They always have those ringlets and ear piercings.
