Only a few moments pass before the being shows up, crashing straight through the walls and heading toward Ray, but instead of resisting as Ray had always done up to this point, he just waits.
The being grabs Ray by the throat, but Ray still doesn't do anything to resist. All he does is say, "This entire time, you were the most confusing thing about all of this. I was trying to figure out what you were and why you kept doing all of this, but... I think a recent conversation has helped enlighten me to what you are."
"You're Shell, right? Or at least you are like him, but instead of being some enlightened version of my subconscious, you're just my subconscious fear... My fear of failure, my fear of not being able to save anyone with all of this power I have," Ray continues, "You weren't calling me weak because I didn't have enough power, but because I was too scared to use it well."
