Leon and Seirai lock eyes as Modri looks up at the others and asks, "Who should it be?"
His parents nod their heads and look at Ray and in unison, they say, "Make Modri your champion."
"What?! Why me?" Modri asks.
Seirai smiles as she says, "Well, both me and your dad want you to be safe, but we have to be realistic. You are a guild member and you go on quests all the time, and I don't think you'll retire any time soon."
"So, if you are going to be fighting often, we want you to be as strong as possible so if we aren't nearby, we will know for sure that you can keep yourself safe," Leon explains.
Modri gets a bit teary-eyed as he hugs his parents, "Thank you! I'll do my best to pay you back for this!"
"Hey, don't thank us! Thank Lord Kaine, he is the one who will be giving you this power." Leon chastizes.
"Right!" Modri says as he turns to Ray and bows his head, "Thank you for this honor, Lord Kaine!"
