Dulled bursts ring out as sound stops while time is frozen, and with each strike, another burst is suppressed. Ray unleashes a string of punches and kicks, each one slamming directly into Balthiar who shifts only slightly from the impact.
In an instant, twenty attacks are made and when time resumes, blood surges out of Balthiar all across him as he slams into the ground.
Without giving him any time to process what happened, Ray lifts him by the face and in a fraction of a second, he slams him through several trees as he dashes around the forest.
Dozens of cuts are all over Balthiar's body, but he doesn't give in and he releases a pulse of shadows to push Ray away from him. Balthiar looks up panting heavily from the damage he has sustained, "I didn't know you could raise your divine status while off of the cliff... A severe oversight of mine, but... I can still defeat you!"
