"Mmm.. Mister Arnold". She splattered.
"Yyy..oo..our food is set." .she tilted her head facing the floor.
Arnold responded with a nod, he then stood up and headed to the table, as Jenna followed him at his back.
Upon reaching there, he stopped and stood still, Jenna gazed at him wondering what was wrong.
"Did I do anything wrong?" She asked herself, her eyes searched the room as she checked if everything were in place.
She confirmed and then looked back at him.
Arnold moved his head to the black jacket he wore. She then knew she had to take it off of him
Hesitatedly she diffidently walked to him, she stood really close to him, she could perceive the nice cologne he wore, it smelled really nice and expensive.
Avoiding his gaze, she balmy placed her hands on his shoulders, funny enough, she had to raise her feet a little to reach those might shoulders.
She slowly took it off of his shoulders, leaving it on the arm length , she then walked behind him, pulling it off him.
She placed it beside him then she walked back to him, she placed her hands on him again, suddenly their eyes met.
She stared into both eyes, his eyes were round and adorable.
She blinked slowly at him, as she placed her eyes down to see his thin pinky lips.
She was breathing uncontrollably, she looked deep into his eyes and then down to his lips again.
Arnold could feel her warm breath in his face,
Arnold was tall that he had to lower his head so she could reach to his neck.
Arnold just stood there, allowing her to admire him. He grinned .
Jenna upon seeing that grin on his face, she snapped a Arnold looked down to her, their nose almost touched.
"What was he doing? Was he going to kiss me?". She said inwardly staring deep into both his eyes
Arnold leaned in, she felt his warm skin on her cheek.. she stopped breathing for a while and then she tightened her eyes thinning he was going to kiss her. But then he whispered
"What's wrong?". He whispered and then he drew his face backwards while putting on that leer again.
"The meal is getting cold". He said as he kept that cold look he always had.
"I..I'm sorry". she raised her heels again, reaching his neck, he then lowered his head making it easier for her to take the tie off of him.
Once again their faces were really close but this time she didn't fit once stared.. she quickly took the tie off him then stepped backwards, pulling out his chair .
Arnold walked to the seat and sat comfortably
Jenna walked to the other side of the table, she poured some water into a glass as she walked to the other side of the table where Arnold sat.
She carefully kept the glass in front of him.
She put out his food as he just stared at her as if he was searching for something in her body.
Jenna noticed and felt uncomfortable. She felt like she was on a stage and thousands of people were watching her. Her hands started to tremble .
Arnold just watched closely as the played almost slipped from her hands then he caught it immediately.
He slowly looked up to her. "Are you okay??"He asked with no emotions as always.
Jenna could only nod. After serving him she stood there watching him eat.
She stood for about twenty eight seconds. Normally he had expected her to had left but he wondered why she was still here.
He chewed slowly, then he swallowed.
"Sit". He said to her, with his eyes still on his food.
She hesitated to put out her food as she sat quietly, she was uncomfortable, she gazed at him at every second.
Arnold watched her like he watched a moving vehicle.
Soon after they had dinner, Jenna knew she wouldn't be late for her next duty.
Her room was few rooms away from Arnold's.
She quickly dusted her dress and stepped out of her room then she walked to his door.
She took a while, then took a deep breath , then she exhaled letting out a sigh,
She was about knocking when the door opened, she left her hands hanging in the air.
She slowly looked from his feet up to his face. Staring at those dark cold eyes again.
He had that serious face again.
"Why are you here?". He spoke with his deep voice.
She swallowed. "I..I'm here for my duty." She lowered her gaze.
Without checking his watch on his wrist. He said.
"You're four minutes early". He stared down to her innocent face.
"How did he know I'm four minutes early without glancing to his watch?".
Seems he was waiting for the time of show up, well thank Goodness I'm here early.
No scolding, "yeah!!!" She screamed inwardly for joy.
"Yes I decided to come before time" her gaze was still lowered She looked down at her feet.
"Come in then". He left her standing by the door then he walked in and laid on his bed reading a novel.
"What? He reads? Who'd believe Mr Arnold reads books?". She thought.
She stepped into the room as her eyes searched through the room like she was looking for her lost teddy .
Lady Ann had already taught her how to arrange a hot bath so she already knew what to do. She wondered where his bathroom was because there were four doors in his bedroom.
Arnold's eyes were in the book he held. He was so engrossed that he didn't know Jenna was searching for the bathroom.
She went to one of the room doors , as she opened and peeked inside, she carefully closed it as she walked to another door.
Arnold raised his eyes as he peered at her. She slowly walked towards the door as she reached for the handle
"Get away from the door!". Arnold snarked as he hurriedly hoped out of the bed.
As scared as Jenna was, she quickly turned to him, he bowled as if there was something dangerous in that room that he didn't want her to see.
She wondered what was in the room, was it a forbidden place that no one dared to enter??
Was it a place where he kept his memories of his parent? Were they even alive? Lots of questions ran through her mind.
"I don't want you going close to that door". He gave her that serious look, but this face she saw now was more serious than ever. He really meant it.
"B..but..why?". She stuttered, this time she looked into his eyes searching for answers, she'd been a curious person right from teen.
The way he jumped out of his bed to stop her from going into the room, seemed like she'd be in trouble if she had opened the door.
He hesitated for a while before he replied.
"For your own safety, don't come close to this door".
She nodded almost immediately, She was so scared right now. Does it mean she would've died if she had entered the room?
She started panting as she looked very scared,
Arnold already knew she was a cry baby, she cried almost over everything.
Tears welled up in her eyes,Arnold upon seeing that .. "Oh no not again, not those tears". He said inwardly, as he slightly closed his eyes and opened them again.
He stared at her, looking at her sad and scared eyes. "She seems really scared, was she always like this?" He said to himself.
Tears rolled down her cheek as she cried silently. "Was this how she would've died, What was in that room? "
"That literally means if he hadn't gotten up to stop me on time, I would've died.
He protected me, he saved me once again..." she looked into his eyes as she ran to him and hugged him tight before he could say anything.
She wrapped her arms around his waist as she cried her eyes out.
Arnold just stood shocked, as she hugged him bawling.
"This girl got some nerves, isn't she scared at all?, does she know who I am and what I've done with this hands?, does she know what I'm capable of?."
"Only if she knew who I was,she wouldn't have want to cross path with me." Arnold clearly couldn't remember the last time someone hugged him.
"Others seems to fear me, why was she different?"
"Ttt..hank you for ss..saving me". she said with a quavering voice. She tightened her eyes and let out more tears.
Arnold just stood there, he didn't put his arms around her to comfort her, he didn't know how to show care or love. He just allowed her to hold him
"It's okay you ain't hurt". That was all Arnold could say, he said that with a calm voice, he tried not to be hard.
She pulled away once she was calm. She looked up to him as she raised her head up, she was calm now, then it struck her.
She hugged him!
