The bank teller wore a black suit with little golden engravings on the sleeves. It made him stand out compared to the rest of his coworkers.
Atlas cursed out with a frown when he saw the multicoloured lightning on the bank teller's arm.
'People who use lightning seem to love me, huh?'
Atlas threw out the pistols and switched to a more rapid submachine gun. This time around, all guns were now focused on the bank teller.
Apollo also turned to warn Atlas about the situation they had at hand.
"Be careful, he's at least a Level 5 Awakened Stage cultivator!"
Atlas' face changed, immediately realising their peril. It was three levels above him and since his energy was low in the first place, then it wasn't an exaggeration to propose that the teller would be able to wipe him off with a flick of his finger.
The bank teller smiled fiendishly and shot out a bolt of lightning.
"Since you know that, then don't mess with me!"
The single bolt of lightning discharged into multiple more streams of current that went for everyone deemed as an enemy. Atlas reacted quickly and rushed behind Rin's large sword in order to avoid the attack.
Rin easily intercepted the bolts of lightning but was still pushed back several metres. Atlas readied his submachine guns with only thoughts of survival. If he died there, then they would bully his mother. Something he couldn't let happen.
With those final strokes of motivation, Atlas charged out from behind the large sword, shooting toward the bank teller.
"Take this, you motherf*cking white collar!"
The bullets flew forward haphazardly, yet most were still on track, heading toward the bank teller.
"Do you think guns can stop me? My name is Charles, personally picked by Lord Zeus. Remember that name, for it will be your last!"
Charles, the bank teller, placed one arm out and a yellow bolt of lightning shot out and collided with the incoming bullets. A small explosion occurred in the middle of the air and pieces of shrapnel flew violently. Even Rin had trouble blocking all of it.
Atlas ducked down as he growled in complete irritation.
'I was too hot-blooded. I should have come here only when those special weapons had arrived!'
His regret didn't stop him from shooting, though. He was the only one who could still fight. Those other strange assailants had long since been destroyed by his lightning bolts.
Rin was preoccupied with blocking attacks and Apollo was still trying to figure out a solution. Seeing his only two members like that, Atlas' mind was pushed to the maximum.
'Think, think!'
That was when it came to him,
"Hey, Tiny, can you attack him just once!" he called out to Apollo, just begging.
The god let out a frustrated grunt and raised his palm, which was rapidly gathering energy from the environment. Very soon after, the ball of swirly golden energy formed at the centre of his palm.
"Do it now!"
The bank teller, whom Atlas still distracted, didn't immediately notice the ball of light heading his way. However, he still managed to partially react in time, as he sent several bolts of lightning to stop the light's momentum.
They crashed into the giant ball of light, yet barely managed to halt its progress. The ball of light moved forward with a stifled speed but still managed to hit the bank teller just in time.
"Ha!"
Although it was weaker, the ball of light crashed into Charles, the bank teller, and carved a wide hole in his chest.
He fell to the ground, allowing Atlas and the others to heave loud sighs of relief. However, their sighs didn't last long at all.
Several more bank tellers rushed out from behind their tables and transformed rapidly into large brown bulls with long twisted horns that had lightning twirling around them. Atlas cursed and realized that it was time to retreat.
"Fall back, we need to get going!"
He shot a few bullets at the bulls and threw the guns out as he ran towards the exit. Apollo and Rin followed shortly after.
They burst out of the bank entrance and saw another one of the black-clothed figures wearing the same strange, yellow, smiley-faced mask. This particular one had an extremely strange vibe to him and carried a long knife on his back.
"Don't step in our way next time." The figure's overlapping voice said and stepped into the bank, ignoring them completely.
Atlas was angry about it, but still chose to keep heading for the large van that was parked not far away from them. It wasn't as easy as he thought, though. In front of the bank, several police officers gathered, pointing guns at the entrance.
He would be lying if he said the sudden onslaught of new enemies did not frighten him. Though he tried his best not to show it at all.
"We didn't harm anybody and we are not here for the money. Just tell Zeus..."
"...That some Titans are smarter than others!"
With those cool words, Atlas circulated the last bit of energy within him and leapt over the multiple police cars in his way, landing on the other side. The others did so as well and they all headed for the large conspicuous van.
"GO!" an officer yelled out from behind them and several gunshots rang out. Bullets flew out of their chambers, nicking the ground close to Atlas and the others, or even hitting the van.
Luckily, they were able to avoid it in just enough time and entered the van, speeding off triumphantly.
They didn't stop until they had reached their destination, which was the 'abandoned' cafe in the deserted part of the city. Apollo hurriedly drove the truck into the garage and closed the doors.
He collapsed to the ground, exhausted.
"Fuuuuck!"
Atlas chuckled awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head. "Uhh, we'll get it next time?"
That, in turn, caused several glares to land on him instantly.
