Reina stood before the mountain of dirty dishes, her hands already raw from hours of scrubbing. The kitchen was a chaotic symphony of clattering pans and hissing steam, with the heat pressing down on everyone like a physical weight. her heart sinking at the sight of the piled-up dirty dishes. The stench of leftover food mixed with the acrid smell of soap hung heavy in the air. She hesitated, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work before her.
"You are delaying! Be quick with what you are doing!" The Chief Overseer's voice cut through the noise, sharp and commanding. His presence was imposing, his eyes cold and unyielding. He strode over to Reina, towering over her giving Reina a rough push that sent her stumbling towards the sink.
"We do not have all day," he snarled, giving her a rough shove that nearly sent her sprawling.
