Theodore walked into her chamber, his tall frame silhouetted against the flickering candlelight. He observed Reina, fast asleep, her delicate features softened in repose.
Beside her, Xenia lay protectively close, the two of them sharing the bed in an almost sisterly fashion.
Theodore's sudden presence brought an aura of tension to the room, like a storm on the horizon.
"Lady Reina!" he called out, his voice resonating with authority. The sound startled Xenia awake, and she sat up quickly, her eyes wide with alarm.
Reina stirred next, blinking herself into consciousness as she realized someone was in the room. Upon seeing Theodore, she rose from the bed, her heart pounding in her chest.
It was unusual for him to come himself when he could easily summon his servants.
