"You should not speak of it," Reina began, her voice trembling slightly.
"You seem to have remembered a terrible event. I would never..."Elena interrupted, her voice filled with quiet desperation.
"I wish to see him, even if it was just one time, Reina. It would not be much to ask of a mother."
Reina's heart ached at Elena's words. She understood the longing that came with such a request.
"You know we... We have quite similar stories," she said, her voice faltering as she halted.Elena's eyes widened with realization.
"I... I am so sorry."Reina shook her head, a bitter smile on her lips.
"N-no, I... I just, it is just, I did not get the opportunity to hold him, or experience childbirth." Her gaze dropped to the ground as she tried to hold back her tears.
Elena reached out and took Reina's hand, her touch gentle and understanding.
