The grand hallways, usually so familiar, now seemed to stretch endlessly, their opulence mocking her disorientation. Her hand instinctively reached for the smooth, cold stone of the walls, seeking support, but it offered little comfort. As she placed her hand on her forehead, the coolness of her skin contrasted sharply with the feverish heat radiating from her head.
